As my thoughts are wandering
to those space and places of my heart and mind
that bring pain and great sorrow,
GOD whispered the words
"IT IS WELL".
As my hubby and I are
CELEBRATING our cousin Richard's LIFE,
whose LIFE was cut short,
I am pondering
LIFE'S TIMELINE.
It is different for each of one us,
as no one knows how long or how short.
Did our cousin know
that on that one day
when he was doing what he loves,
bike riding,
was the day
THE LORD
would call him home?
Oh no.
Did his family know?
Oh no.
A LIFE cut short brings great sorrow.
But GOD knew,
for GOD was right there with him.
Tears fill my being for this great loss,
but GOD is reminding me of HIS great
FOREVER TRUTH
that
IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL.
We all have a SOUL that lives
FOREVER.
SOUL~
"the direct aftermath of GOD breathing (blowing).
HIS gift of life into a person, making them an ensouled being" (Strongs).
SOUL~
Your GOD BREATHED LIFE.
But don't we get so distracted
when we focus on the
"IT" of IT IS WELL?
You know, the ITS of life.
What is your IT?
Is IT your circumstances that are WELL?
Is IT your relationships that are WELL?
Is IT your emotions that are WELL?
But what if your IT isn't WELL?
Hmm. Reality strikes at the heel,
because as long as we have breath
our circumstances, relationships, and emotions
are on a rollercoaster ride that never ends.
But what if there is one
IT that can be WELL all the time?
Well it can be when your
IT is your SOUL and IT is in the right place,
right back where IT began,
in your FATHER'S HANDS.
MY SOUL IS WELL,
EXCEPTIONALLY WELL,
FULLY WELL,
FAVORABLY WELL.
And all JESUS asks~
"You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart
and with all your soul
and with all your mind" (Matthew 22:37)
It isn't rocket science,
but some make it out to be
as there is a fear of GOD that HE may not
receive them as HIS own.
Hmm.
I was one of them, fearful of what GOD would say to me
if I came to HIM.
Would HE reject me?
Was I too unclean to stand in HIS PRESENCE?
Oh how my theology was way off base,
because GOD is for EVERYONE,
as HE does not want ANYONE to PERISH.
GOD is the only IT that FILLS your SOUL
so that you are
CELEBRATING your LIFE in the HERE & NOW
because you know you are FOREVER HIS!
I am overfilled and overwhelmed,
because I found
IT!
IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL~
"For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for MY sake will find it [that is, life with ME for all eternity]. For what will it profit a man if he gains
the whole world [wealth, fame, success], but forfeits his soul?"
(Matthew 25-26).
MY SOUL is
EXCEPTIONALLY WELL
FULLY WELL
FAVORABLY WELL.
because
GOD said so
and JESUS made it so.
So how do we CELEBRATE LIFE?
Knowing from the top of our heads
to the bottom of our toes
that
"IT IS WELL"
