FEAR~
it grabs you when you least expect it.
FEAR~
it stops you in your tracks.
FEAR is a monster~
the monster that blocks the door to JOY.
The monster the stands with its whole body,
smashed against the door,
staring you in the face,
giving you the message that there is
no way that you are touching that doorknob,
and
there is no way that you would even think
that there is a way out.
Isn’t that what FEAR does?
Paralyzes you in the moment.
FEAR is a death grip around your heart
FEAR is always preparing for disaster.
FEAR
comes in ALL shapes and sizes
labeled as PHOBIAS ~
PhiloPHOBIA: FEAR of LOVE
CheroPHOBIA: FEAR of HAPPINESS
AutoPHOBIA: FEAR of ONESELF.
These all sound a wee bit silly,
but oh they are real
as these FEARS have been and sometimes
raise their ugly heads in my life.
For why would you have a FEAR of LOVE?
Maybe because you were hurt by LOVE.
Why would you have a FEAR of HAPPINESS?
Maybe because when you were truly HAPPY,
the other shoe dropped. For why would you have a FEAR of YOURSELF?
Maybe because you, at times, are your own worst enemy.
And the FEAR of all FEARS,
PHOBOPHOBIA~
THE FEAR OF FEAR.
This is FEAR at its best,
as it brings you to the root of
FEAR~
AtheoPHOBIA~
THE FEAR OF NOT HAVING GOD IN ONE'S LIFE!
Oh how I have my moments
when I rest
ANXIOUSLY IN ATHEOPHOBIA
when
I BELIEVE that GOD
may leave me or forsake me when
I will need HIM the most.
Yikes! I did just write that
as I am
FACING my biggest FEAR.
A life without GOD.
Camp out there for a moment.
What is your life WITHOUT GOD?
A LIFE WITHOUT JESUS!
What is your life WITHOUT JESUS?
A LIFE WITHOUT LIFE.
And yes,
I should FEAR
and you should FEAR
if GOD is not in your life.
FOR when GOD says,
“I will never [under any circumstances]
desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support,
nor will I in any degree leave you helpless],
nor will I forsake or let you down or relax
My hold on you [assuredly not]!” (Hebrews 13:5)
there is no such thing as
ATHEOPHOBIA.
For
when GOD makes a PROMISE
HE keeps HIS PROMISE
for JESUS took away ALL FEARS~
"I give them eternal life,
and they will never perish,
and no one will snatch them out of MY hand" (John 10:28).
Case Closed.
Say GOOD BYE
to
The FEAR of LOVE~
"For GOD gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love
and self-control" (John 3:16),
And GOOD BYE to
The FEAR of HAPPINESS~
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is GOD'S will for you in CHRIST JESUS"
(1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18),
And GOOD BYE to
The FEAR of ONESELF~
"Therefore if anyone is
IN CHRIST t[that is, grafted in, joined to HIM by faith in HIM as SAVIOR],
he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the HOLY SPIRIT; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come
[because spiritual awakening brings a new life]" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
The time is now
to open the DOOR
to
ALL of GOD'S PROMISES
that WILL
slam the door on
FEAR
because
"FEAR you will never be welcome here"
