CONFUSION~
This morning I wake up and don't know where I am
as my husband & I have been away for a week in
a different time zone.
CONFUSION~
I blink my eyes and wonder what day it is.
CONFUSION~
I look at the time and jump out of bed
as I slept in because
CONFUSION took over.
I blink my eyes a couple of times
and feel like Dorothy in Wizard of Oz
and realize I am home.
CONFUSION~
Disorder. Chaos. Disarray.
Oh how it CONFUSES!
Oh how I don't like CONFUSION
as its friends Disorder, Chaos & Disarray follow.
My brain goes into a tailspin
and then I am brought back to earth
or should I say I am brought back to heaven
to the ONE who is not the author of CONFUSION.
"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting GOD, the Creator of the ends of the earth. HE does not faint or grow weary; HIS understanding is unsearchable" (Isaiah 40:28).
HE is the same no matter where I am
no matter where I go
no matter when CONFUSION tries to create
Disorder & Chaos & Disarray.
My GOD does not change.
My GOD
meets me where I am no matter where I am.
My GOD
embraces me in the midst of CONFUSION.
My GOD, Your GOD
never changes
even through life changes
when you wonder in the midst of CONFUSION~
"What now GOD?"
And then HE responds as HE always does
because HE is never CONFUSING
as HE shows up to do what HE always does
no matter where I am
no matter what I am feeling
no matter when CONFUSION tries to keep me in
Disorder & Chaos & Disarray
because~
"HE gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint" (Isaiah 40: 29-31).
Let's FAST from CONFUSION today
by FIXING our eyes on the One who is never
CONFUSED
because
how can you be CONFUSED if HE is always the same?
"JESUS CHRIST is the same yesterday and today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8)
