Day 31: Strength Of Humility

You hear

THE NEWS

but not from the TV

but from a friend

and then another friend

and then another friend

that the symptoms are real

and this pandemic has hit

a family member

and possibly another member

and possibly another.

Your heart gets heavy

as it is happening in your little world

all around you

because it is REAL

The sadness quickly runs through your veins

as you feel so helpless

so out of control

because you aren't in control

just as no one is.

There is only one thing that you can do is

PRAY.

But PRAYER feels so useless and it feels as if you are

giving up because you can't do something.

And then you PRAY.

You cry out to ABBA FATHER

because HE IS the only ONE who is in control.

Oh the STRENGTH OF HUMILITY

that drives you to your knees

that drove JESUS to HIS knees

as HE PRAYED~

"HE went away again a second time and prayed, saying,

"My FATHER, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, YOUR will be done." (Matthew 26:42)

Oh the STRENGTH OF HUMILITY

that drives you to tears

that drove JESUS to tears~

“JESUS wept”(John 11:35).

Oh the STRENGTH OF HUMILITY

that makes you look up

in PRAYER

and that is when you connect to GOD

like you have never connected with GOD before

as a PEACE washes over you

that it is so surreal

because you can't imagine feeling

this PEACE in the midst of the impossible,

because it really "transcends all understanding" (Philippians 4:7)

Because it is HIS PEACE

that is like no other~

"Peace I leave with you; MY peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.

Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid" (John 14:27).

Oh the STRENGTH OF HUMILITY

when I feel so helpless to help those hurting

which is so humbling

which sends me to my knees

to look up to the ONE

WHO calls me & WHO calls you to

experience~

THE STRENGTH OF HUMILITY~

"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of GOD, that HE may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon HIM, for HE cares for you" (I Peter 5:6-7).

Because it is on our knees when we will

"TOUCH THE SKY" (listen to the song below)
