GOD told Moses to tell them
to put blood around the doorposts of their homes,
if you
FEAR GOD.
The GOOD FEAR.
If you FEAR GOD~
if you BELIEVE GOD.
If you FEAR GOD~
to go beyond just listening
and TO DO what HE ASKS.
Yup.
GOD ASKS.
ASKING is an INVITATION.
ASKING precedes a
R.S.V.P.~
YES or NO.
Well, the ones who answered
NO
did not put blood around their doorposts
and
death took their first born males.
Does this mean that GOD is bad!
Oh no.
A bad GOD does not ASK you to do something
that WILL SAVE your LIFE.
Think about it.
Who would ASK you to
BELIEVE in the power of the
BLOOD of the PERFECT LAMB
to SAVE your LIFE?
A GOOD GOD!
So
PASSOVER was birthed
when
Moses received instructions from GOD
about the Blood of the PERFECT LAMB~
"Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses"*
All Because~
“On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD"*
The Big PASS OVER~
"The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will PASS OVER you.
No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt" *(Exodus 12).
Did you catch that?
Was the PASS OVER a surprise attack?
Was everyone warned?
YES. YES. YES.
Oh was it beyond sad when the firstborn males were killed.
Oh YES.
BUT GOD ASKED.
BUT GOD SAID.
Oh FEAR THE LORD
and not only LISTEN to what HE says,
but
DO what HE SAYS
because
HE wants no one to PERISH
no matter how far you have fallen from HIS TREE!
What is GOD ASKING you to DO today?
Is it ~
"Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
Tell GOD what you need, and thank HIM for all he has done" (Philippians 4:6)?
Is it~
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer"
(Romans 12:12)?
Is it~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to HIM, and HE will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6)?
Or is it to
RECEIVE the BLOOD of the
PERFECT LAMB
so that you won't be
PASSED OVER~
"The one who eats MY flesh and drinks
MY blood [believes in ME, accepts ME as SAVIOR]
has eternal life [that is, now possesses it],
and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day" (John 6:54).
