Am I enough GOD?
Am I doing enough for you GOD?
Am I making you proud GOD?
BE STILL & KNOW!
It isn’t in the doing.
It isn’t in the performing.
It isn’t in the being the perfect Christian.
It is in the being "IN".
Wearing JESUS.
Letting HIM cover you,
because HE is who GOD sees
when HE looks at you & me & everyone else.
Wear JESUS.
I have tried so hard to be
PERFECT ENOUGH for GOD,
but
it is impossible to be PERFECT ENOUGH for GOD.
I think that is why so many fear having GOD in their life,
because the thinking is that
GOD would turn them away.
At least that is what I thought when I would run the other way.
But oh that is not my GOD.
My GOD calls the imperfect
so HE can cover the imperfect with
HIS PERFECTION
that makes us better than just
good enough.
I picture GOD just waiting for HIS kids to return to HIM
and JESUS is standing next to HIM.
THEY wait.
And then HIS kid returns.
And at that moment
JESUS puts HIS robe on GOD'S kid.
And it happens in an instant.
PERFECTION covering IMPERFECTION,
And the angels sing.
Another KID covered.
GOD gets HIS kid back.
As I awoke this morning
filled with a fear that I was not good enough for GOD
(as I still have some of that "striving to be PERFECT for HIM
or HE will turn away from me" syndrome).
It came out of nowhere.
It is a lie mixed with truth.
TRUTH~
I can never be PERFECT ENOUGH for GOD
and that is why I need HIS SON.
So easy, yet so hard to comprehend at times,
when you don't feel good enough.
And that is where the
BELIEVING & RECEIVING IN FAITH
comes into play.
Maybe that is why JESUS said
"IT IS FINISHED".
JESUS COVERS ALL.
IMPERFECT never felt so PERFECT.
"So, chosen by GOD for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe GOD picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place,
quick to forgive an offense.
Forgive as quickly and completely as the MASTER forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on,
wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment.
Never be without it. Let the peace of CHRIST
keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other.
None of this going off and doing your own thing.
And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of CHRIST - the Message - have the run of the house.
Give it plenty of room in your lives.
Instruct and direct one another using good common sense.
And sing, sing your hearts out to GOD! Let every detail in your lives - words, actions, whatever -
be done in the name of the MASTER,
JESUS, thanking GOD the FATHER every step of the way" (Colossians 3:12-17)
WEAR JESUS
because that is
"WHO I'M MEANT TO BE"
