22 Days Ago we started on a journey of 40 Days until Easter.
It seems like years ago as so much has happened.
Time seems to have slowed down, because I have slowed down
and I am sure all of you have slowed down.
The days are longer, as the nights.
The rushing around seems to have ceased
because STILLNESS is all around us~
because we have no choice
but to embrace the
FORCED STILLNESS
that makes us so STILL
that we have to look up
to the One who has always been calling us to
BE STILL~
yet we were too busy rushing around to beat the clock
to BE STILL
because we always had tomorrow to BE STILL.
Tears are filling my eyes right now
Could this be the PEACE OF GOD that transcends all understanding
because I am so close to HIM
and that my friends transcends all understanding
because when GOD asks us to BE STILL
HE means BE STILL~
to cease,
to forsake,
to leave
to stop
to discontinue
"to put an end to a state or an activity" (Logos).
This sudden halt in our lives~
this FORCED STILLNESS~
could ruffle our feathers or
could make us run to the ONE who
"WILL cover you with HIS feathers and under HIS wings
you will find refuge" (Psalm 91:4).
Where do you run for refuge? Who do you run to for refuge?
Is it to the ONE who utters the simple words of
BE STILL
just so that we
WILL KNOW
that GOD IS GOD
in the midst of this ever changing world.
THE GOD who took the time to create each one of us in our mother's womb.
THE GOD who "for so loved" (John 3:16) us way beyond any human love
that HE gave up HIS SON because HE doesn't want to see any of HIS little chicks
to perish
to cease
to leave
to forsake
to stop
"to put an end to a state or an activity"
BUT to HAVE ETERNAL LIFE
that is an
EVERLASTING LIFE
that goes way beyond today
and tomorrow and the day after that.
AN ETERNAL LIFE that is a LIFE of
Chosen STILLNESS to remain with the ONE
who is asking us to
"BE STILL & KNOW
that
I AM GOD" (Psalm 46:10).
To BE STILL & KNOW
are just not words but are an action
to cease,
to forsake,
to leave
to stop
to discontinue
"to put an end to a state or an activity"
that lead us into the arms of the ONE who is calling
you & I & everyone else
to BE STILL
so that life as we know it will be oh so much better
because HE is calling us to
