Day 21: Just Breathe


Just stop.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Repeat.

And before you know it

you are breathing like you have never breathed

before

as you are becoming so

STILL

as if time has stopped.

And then you start to notice things around you

that were always there,

yet you are seeing them as it is for the first time.

A sunrise. A sunset. A child. A smile. A tear.

Your breath.

You are alive.

BUT is being alive enough to keep you breathing.

Because then you start thinking

about things that quicken

your breath

because they are real life things

that pierce your heart
