I have STRIVED to prove myself.
I have STRIVED to prove what I BELIEVED.
I have STRIVED to prove that
JESUS is real
and how HE saved me.
Always STRIVING. Never arriving.
And then it all became so clear.
I can't prove GOD.
I can't prove JESUS.
And it isn't my job to prove THEM
because that is THEIR job.
Did I create the heavens & the earth?
Did I create Adam & Eve?
Did I even create myself?
Did I create sin?
Did I come from heaven swaddled as a baby?
Did I make the blind see and the lame walk?
Did I have my hands and feet nailed to a cross?
Did I lay in a sealed tomb for 3 days?
Did I raise from the dead?
Did I walk this earth with the nail holes still in my body?
Do I have LIVING PROOF that JESUS is JESUS
and GOD IS GOD
when I am questioned about THEM?
"Unless I see in HIS hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into HIS side, I will never believe" (John 24:25).
Oh JESUS can prove HIMSELF~
"Then HE said to Thomas, 'Put your finger here, and see MY hands; and put out your hand, and place it in MY side. Do not disbelieve, but believe'.”*
Only JESUS can prove HIMSELF
to whomever asks HIM~
"Thomas answered HIM, 'My LORD and my GOD!'*
BELIEVING is LIVING PROOF~
"JESUS said to him, 'Have you believed because you have seen ME?
Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”*(John 20:27-29)
I am glad that I know
that I am unable to
part the Red Sea
or walk on water
and that I never have to do either
or STRIVE to do anything else
to prove
that I BELIEVE in the ONES who did.
I didn't pen the words
"Cease striving and know that I am GOD" (Psalm 46:10).
BUT those are the life changing words
that saved my life
so that I am
LIVING PROOF
that
GOD IS GOD
and
JESUS IS JESUS
and
you just have to
"BELIEVE FOR IT" (listen to the song below)
