Day 12: Moutaintop Experience

I love mountaintop experiences,

even though I have never climbed a mountain.

MOUNTAIN TOP EXPERIENCE~

when you know that it is the GOD that you know

who has done the something that you could have never done.

And there you stand

in THE STILLNESS of the

AWE OF GOD,

because you KNOW

that

GOD IS GOD

and you are not.

I can just imagine MOSES when he climbed the mountain

to experience GOD through the burning bush.

Oh to STAND in THE PRESENCE OF GOD,

Can't you FEEL the FEAR~

THE FEAR OF GOD~

the most intimate space and place where you meet your CREATOR.

Is THE FEAR OF GOD~

What does HE think of you.

Is THE FEAR OF GOD~

Will HE yell at you.

Is THE FEAR OF GOD~

Will HE point out all your weaknesses.

Is THE FEAR OF GOD~

Will HE tell you that you will never measure up.

Hmm.

This sounds like the FEAR of OTHERS.

For the FEAR OF GOD

puts you on your knees

in adoration

&

in thanksgiving.

THE FEAR OF GOD

makes you take off your sandals in HUMILITY

because you are standing on HOLY ground.

Oh THE FEAR OF GOD

removes ALL FEAR

because

GOD is not a GOD of condemnation,

for GOD is a GOD of GRACE.

As you look at the burning bush,

the LIGHT is so bright that you have to turn your face.

You are in wonder and amazement that

GOD would even talk to you,

because you know yourself oh so well.

But GOD knows you better than yourself

and wants to be with you.

Oh to FEAR GOD is the sweet spot

Do you "FEAR" GOD or do you FEAR GOD?

Hmm.

Sounds like the same question, but oh so different.

FEAR GOD~

"Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by GOD]

is the man who fears the LORD [with awe-inspired reverence

and worships HIM with obedience], Who delights greatly in HIS commandments" (Psalm 112:1) .

Therefore,

if you REALLY FEAR GOD

then

is FEAR something to FEAR?

Hmm.

"WHOM SHALL I FEAR"

(listen to the song below)
