Day 10: Somebody's Nobody

I don't like wearing T-shirts

as they make me sweat with the binding crew neck.

So I don't wear them,

until now.

I bought my first concert T-shirt

at the Casting Crowns concert this weekend,

because it had my name on it~

NOBODY.

Yup. It makes me smile.

Here I sit wearing a long sleeved black T-shirt

with the word NOBODY in big white letters.

Oh how I felt like a NOBODY when

the only phone calls I get are from spam.

Oh how I felt like a NOBODY when

I feel like NOBODY knows that I exist.

Oh how I felt like a NOBODY when

my feelings are hurt yet I never

hear the words I am sorry.

Oh how I felt like a NOBODY when

I am not included.

But oh I love being a NOBODY

because if I was SOMEBODY

I would have never

looked up to the

SOMEBODY

who is

with me wherever I go

&

who heals my broken heart

&

who never excludes me

because

who creates a NOBODY.

Are you breathing? Are you reading right now?

Then you are not a NOBODY.

Is there a hurt that just won't stop hurting?

Do you feel rejected?

Do you feel lonely?

If you are feeling

then you are not a NOBODY.

Why do I smile wearing my new NOBODY T-shirt?.

Because that is who I am .

I am HIS NOBODY!

For SOMEBODY LOVES

this NOBODY

who just wants to tell

everyone about

JESUS

because

JESUS

doesn't die on a cross for a

NOBODY.

Oh Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.

Oh Amazing Grace that UNLEASHED me from the chains that

kept my heart so locked up that there was no room

for me to be loved or for me to love.

For who leaves HIS HEAVENLY throne

to be swaddled in RAGS as a baby

just to be born on Christmas

and then to be crucified on Good Friday

and to be buried in a borrowed tomb.

Hmm sounds like a NOBODY.

But who ROSE on Easter.

Oh a SOMEBODY

because this is an impossibility for a NOBODY.

So why would you & how could you

not look up for

"The LORD is close to all who call on HIM,

yes, to all who call on HIM in truth.

HE grants the desires of those who fear HIM;

HE hears their cries for help and rescues them" (Psalm 145: 18-19).

for my new name that I proudly wear
