Do you FEAR REJECTION?
Do you FEAR FAILURE?
Is it PEOPLE'S APPROVAL
that you seek,
because you
FEAR what other's think about you,
more than you
FEAR what GOD thinks of you?
Oh the trap of seeking
PEOPLE'S APPROVAL,
which is actually
THE FEAR OF PEOPLE,
that seeps in
when you least expect it,
because
you see PEOPLE,
you do life with PEOPLE,
and
because you are
one of the
PEOPLE.
I know we all suffer with
PEOPLE APPROVAL
at some degree
because we can't get away from
PEOPLE,
just as you can't get away from yourself.
Did you ever think that you may be one of
the PEOPLE that someone else is striving to get your
APPROVAL?
But what if you FEARED
not having
GOD'S APPROVAL
like you may be
FEARING not having ___________'s APPROVAL.
Whose APPROVAL do you seek?
But what if you really embraced the
TRUTH that
IN CHRIST
you are APPROVED by GOD.
Take a moment and let that pierce your HEART,
so that you BELIEVE it with ALL your HEART.
And that my friend is
when you
LIVE FEARLESSLY
from
THE LOVE OF GOD
that doesn't
FEAR FAILURE
or
FEAR REJECTION,
because it is no longer becomes about yourself ,
because it is all about JESUS
so that you
LIVE for an audience of ONE.
Who is your audience?
Your choice. My Choice.
"Whatever you do, do your work heartily,
as for the LORD and not for people,
knowing that it is from the LORD that you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the LORD CHRIST whom you serve.
(Colossians 3.23-24).
Oh THE FREEDOM from LIVING IN FEAR
from PEOPLE APPROVAL,
is REAL,
as I know firsthand,
for I also know the bondage of living for the APPROVAL of others,
as at times it strives to creep back into my life.
The following words from C.S. Lewis
have pierced my heart so deeply,
to remind me to
LIVE FOR AN AUDIENCE OF ONE,
and that my friend releases you from the trap of the
PEOPLE APPROVAL
“Your real, new self (which is CHRIST'S and also yours,
and yours just because it is HIS)
will not come as long as you are looking for it.
It will come when you are looking for HIM.
Does that sound strange?
The same principle holds,
you know, for more everyday matters.
Even in social life,
you will never make a good impression on other people
until you stop thinking about what sort of impression you are making. Give up yourself, and you will find your real self.
Lose your life and you will save it.
Submit to death,
death of your ambitions and favorite wishes every day
and death of your whole body in the end submit with every fibre of your being, and you will find eternal life.
Keep back nothing.
Nothing that you have not given away will be really yours.
Nothing in you that has not died will ever be raised from the dead.
Look for yourself, and you will find in the long run only hatred, loneliness, despair, rage, ruin, and decay.
But look for CHRIST and you will find HIM
and with HIM everything else thrown in” (Mere Christianity).
