The Silence Of God

GOD is funny.

I feel like HE likes to play games

and right now I think

HE is playing

HIDE & SEEK.

As when GOD feels SILENT

it appears as if HE is HIDING,

but maybe the SILENCE

is so that I SEEK HIM.

"SEEK the LORD and HIS strength;

SEEK HIS face continually"

(1 Chronicles 16:11).

TO SEEK~

To SEARCH after.

To STRIVE after.

To DESIRE.

Don't you SEEK AFTER something that you

CRAVE?

Don't you SEEK AFTER something that you

WANT?

Don't you SEEK AFTER something that you

NEED?

There it is.

In my SEEKING GOD

I found HIM,

because HE is who

I NEED

to SEEK AFTER!

The SILENCE gets deafening

when

all I hear is

THE SILENCE OF GOD

because

I am so lost when

I

BELIEVE

GOD

is SILENT.

I think about the

SILENCE of GOD

when JESUS was in the tomb.

Now if I was alive back then

I would have been curled up in a ball

questioning

GOD

about

WHERE IS MY JESUS?

I BELIEVE IN HIM. I FOLLOWED HIM.

And now HE is gone.

I can't even imagine

the deafening SILENCE

behind the closed tomb door.

Knock. Knock.

Who's there?

FAITH!

Because

GOD doesn't play games

and either does

HIS SON!

FAITH~

To BELIEVE in the UNSEEN.

FAITH~

To SEEK after the UNSEEN.

So HIDE & SEEK is not a game after all,

for it is in the

SEEKING GOD

is where I am to

HIDE

and that is when

THE SILENCE of GOD

is no longer deafening,

because

FAITH

wins the game

every time.

"But without faith it is impossible to [walk with GOD and] please HIM, for whoever comes [near] to GOD must [necessarily] believe that

GOD exists and that HE rewards those who

[earnestly and diligently] SEEK HIM"

(Hebrews 11:6).

JESUS wasn't HIDING in the tomb,

for all knew HE was there

and JESUS even told everyone

HE would be there

for three silent days.

"For as Jonah was three days and three nights

in the belly of a huge fish,

so the SON OF MAN will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth"

(Matthew 12:14).

JESUS wasn't HIDING in the tomb

and GOD didn't forget about HIM.

GOD isn't HIDING from me

this morning

and

GOD didn't forget about me.

HE was just WAITING

for me

to SEEK HIM.

For

our GOD never HIDES

because

HE IS
