Oh it was a life of slavery~
A life that they wanted to be delivered from.
BUT when they got what they wanted
they forgot
as they grumbled & complained
when they were hungry.
BUT GOD sent quail & MANNA~
BUT GOD
still wasn't enough
because they couldn't even listen to HIS direction
to only gather enough for a day
and to trust HIM for tomorrow's supply.
BUT impatience brewed
because doubt brewed
as their own thoughts overcame them~
What if HE doesn't supply our needs? We will starve.
Hmm..
Maybe they were repeating the words of
the first woman
who had so much plenty,
yet had to eat the one thing that she was asked by HIM not to eat,
yet she ate it anyway
and we know how that story ends
as we are living in it now.
Oh the VALLEY OF DOUBT
that GOD may not show up
&
part the sea of fear that is overwhelmingly
standing before us.
BUT GOD
has called us all out of
FEAR
&
ANXIETY
&
WORRY
the moment
HE called us out of slavery~
"The SPIRIT you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again;
rather, the SPIRIT you received brought about your adoption to sonship.
And by HIM we cry,“ABBA, FATHER” (Romans 8:15)
Just as HE called them out of slavery
and was always on their team to take them to the
PROMISED LAND
as HE is the same GOD of the OLD TESTAMENT as HE is of THE NEW TESTAMENT
as we are ever so
FREE
because
