Oh the turkey. Oh the mashed potatoes.
Oh the stuffing. Oh the pie.
All filling every nook and cranny of our bodies,
yet leaving room for more as leftovers fill the frig.
Now just because
THANKSGIVING is over
do we stop
GIVING THANKS
even though we are still eating the leftovers?
The good 'ole
DAY AFTER~
when what you were planning foralready happened
and you start moving to "what's next".
Now maybe just maybe
your "what's next"
is that there are
28 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS.
But then what happens on the
DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS
when the wrapping paper is thrown away
and the tree is almost bare~

whose BIRTH DAY we celebrate on
CHRISTMAS DAY.
THE BABY
who came from
RICHES to be swaddled in RAGS
so that HE could take all our
RAGS
to robe us in HIS RICHES.
Yup,
THE BABY.

when all the falalalalalala is over?
Just as THANKS GIVING
is so much more than just turkey
so is
CHRISTMAS
as it isn't just about
a BIRTH DAY
wrapped in a tree, tinsel & bows.
