Oh it is so very simple
as it is SIMPLY TRUE~
JESUS LOVES YOU.
Now some will stop reading this,
because we all "know" it.
We know the song & we know that
JESUS
&
LOVE
&
GOD
are words that all go together.
But so what?
So what that
JESUS LOVES YOU?
How does that change you?
How does that make your circumstances better?
How does that make your anxieties subside?
How does that restore relationships?
How does that change the image that you see in the mirror?
JESUS LOVES YOU.
Tears fill my eyes as I write those words as JESUS pierces my heart.
Is it because
HE heals the BROKENHEARTED (Luke 4:18).
Is it because
HE is the PEACE in the midst in turmoil (John 16:33).
Is it because
HE is FORGIVENESS in the midst of conflict (Ephesians 4:31-32)
Is it because
HE sees us as HIS PRIZED POSSESSION (James 1:18)
Is it because
HE is our constant companion, never to be left alone (Matthew 28:20)..
JESUS LOVES YOU
isn't just a saying or a cute little song from Sunday school.
Oh
JESUS LOVES YOU
is so much more because
HE created us to be so much more
from the moment we were knitted together in our mother's womb.
Oh
the SIMPLE TRUTH~
"Little ones to HIM belong
They are weak, but HE is strong"
So why not keep it simple~
"Can we get back to the altar?
Back to the arms of our first love
There's only one way to the FATHER
And HE'S calling out to us"*
And embrace what is SIMPLY TRUE~
