Oh how we are traveling through a desert time
as we are sick & tired of waiting for
"when will this be over?".
I wonder how the Israelites felt
as they were in the desert
as they faced their greatest fear
when the Red Sea was before them
and the Egyptians were behind them.
WHERE WAS GOD?
"My GOD my GOD why have you forsaken me?"
And there HE WAS
just waiting to perform a miracle
at the moment of their breaking point.
Oh how I can relate & I am sure you can.
The break-down before the break-through,
Don't we all want the same thing~
More of JESUS in the midst of the desert.
More of GOD in the midst of the desert.
More of THE HOLY SPIRIT in the midst of the desert.
And then the questions come
as we are faced with our greatest fears & anxieties~
BUT THEN GOD
does what HE does best.
HE is with you…But is HE ENOUGH?
Oh YES HE IS, even though it doesn’t feel like it HE IS.
So we crawl up next to HIM
because we don’t know where else to go~
"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the MOST HIGH
will rest in the shadow of the ALMIGHTY" (Psalm 91)
and then we utter the words~
"I will say of the LORD, 'HE is my refuge and my fortress, my GOD,
in whom I trust'." (Psalm 91:2)
And it is there where GOD meets us right where were are
feeling what we feel
as we remain oh so STILL with the ONE who is still with us
even though we are traveling through the desert.
Oh may GOD overwhelm you with more of HIM like you have never felt before
Because HE IS THE MORE that we are craving in the midst of living with Less.
Prayers to you all, as we journey together through this temporary time of uncertainty.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13)
Oh "SPIRIT LEAD ME" (listen to the song below)
