I saw her.
She has been through surgeries
and is now in rehab,
and I finally got to see her.
I was going to visit her at the "PERFECT" TIME,
but the "PERFECT" TIME never comes.
NOW was the PERFECT TIME,
as my hubby and I were running errands
and he suggested my visiting my friend.
I didn't think it was right to just pop in on her,
but my hubby, so filled with wisdom,
knew this was the PERFECT TIME.
I walked into her room and she looked up
and the tears were flowing,
from both of us.
It was the PERFECT TIME.
Talk about a GOD APPOINTMENT,
because GOD planned it.
After a time of prayer, laughing, and crying,
she so wanted to brush her teeth,
as no one had been in her room yet to help her.
So I followed her to the sink.
As she was brushing her teeth,
I began taking off a bracelet that I was wearing
as I felt GOD speaking to my heart
that I was to give it her.
It just wasn't about the bracelet
as it was about what was engraved on the inside~
"For she is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future"
(Proverbs 31:25)
I didn't know if she would wear it, but I knew her heart needed to hear HIS WORDS.
Well, as soon as she finished her teeth cleaning,
she said the hardest part of being in the rehab
is that she had lost her "________"~
a word that she couldn't recall.
As she was trying to think of the word,
it came loud and clear to me as
I said the word "DIGNITY",
when I wasn't even thinking about the verse.
And she shouted YES!
Now tell me that this wasn't PERFECT TIMING,
as there in my hand was the bracelet
with the word DIGNITY engraved on it.
The wild part about this
is that right before I left my home
I felt a nudging that made me grab the bracelet and place it on my wrist.
Talk about a GOD APPOINTMENT~
HIS PERFECT TIMING that HE PLANNED
ahead of time
without my knowing,
but HIS KNOWING.
And then when she was sitting on the bed,
still talking about DIGNITY,
she saw my eyes pop out of my head with excitement,
as I started to tell her about the verse
and then handed her the bracelet.
Oh talk about tears, from both of us.
Oh talk about GOD showing up
at the PERFECT TIME
for one of HIS CHILDREN
who was suffering so
as HE showered her with a blessing that blew us both away.
As I placed it on her wrist
she was speechless
as GOD filled the room.
As I left her room in awe,
there was my hubby waiting for me
(as he knew that it wasn't his time to see her).
Oh he then got an earful of the
GOD APPOINTMENT
and then a big
THANK YOU for his responding
to the soft whisper of
GOD
that brought me to her,
Oh my friend,
don't wait for the PERFECT TIME
because the PERFECT TIME is right NOW
because GOD is in every moment.
For NOW is the PERFECT TIME
to embrace the soft whisper of your
FATHER who created you,
who loves you so,
that HE never leaves you
and is always working
behind the scenes
and in the scenes
and through all the characters who are in your story.
You are VALUABLE.
GOD needs you to be the you who HE created you to be,
because you have a role in HIS STORY
that no one else can play
because there is no one like you.
This isn't cliche, as it is truth.
No one has your FINGERPRINT.
Look at your hands. Look at your fingers.
FINGERPRINTED BY GOD.
NOW look at another~
FINGERPRINTED BY GOD.
For NOW is the PERFECT TIME
to look up and say
THANK YOU GOD
and NOW go and
do something for another
or say something to another
or just show up for another
or maybe you need another right now.
For NOW is the
PERFECT TIME
to embrace the TRUTH
that you are
"clothed with strength & DIGNITY
and laugh without fear of the future"
because GOD has you in the palm of HIS HANDS
because
you were made in the
"IMAGE OF GOD" (listen to the song below)
