You just can't help it
because HE can't help it
to help you move you beyond
point A to get point B
when the distance seems the whole alphabet away.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest"*
But what if the problem is your COMING.
You legs feel like they weigh a ton,
just as heavy as your heart is.
But HE keeps asking you to COME~
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest"*
And you wonder why HE isn't going away.
Why does HE want you?
But the question really is
Why don't you want HIM?
Does DOUBT cloud your mind so much so
that you can't even fathom why
JESUS would be so persistent
to continue to chase little 'ole you
when there is a whole world filled with so many other people.
Because that is who JESUS is.
HE is about the
ONE~
EVERY ONE
and that means you & me & everyone else~
“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t HE leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until HE finds it? And when HE finds it, HE joyfully puts it on HIS shoulders and goes home.
Then HE calls HIS friends and neighbors together and says,
‘Rejoice with ME; I have found MY lost sheep.’ "(Luke 15:4-6)
And at the moment you look up and see HIS eyes looking right into yours.
You can only cry life changing tears
because HE sees you
and reaches out HIS hand
so that HE can do what you can't do.
And the only thing HE asks is for you to
COME~
"Come to ME. Get away with ME and you’ll recover your life. I'LL show you how to take a real rest. Walk with ME and work with ME—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with ME and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly” (Matthew 11:28-30)
The hard just got easy because JESUS did the hard part
and all we have to do is
COME
for
"I can do all things through CHRIST
who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13)
Because HE does the impossible that you can never do on your own
so you never have to
"SAY I WON'T" (listen to the song below)
