My daughter.
Our Son-in-love
Our grandson.
Our granddaughter.
And our not "yet born yet" new grand~baby,
Life is right before me.
REAL LIFE.
I see TIME.
As I still feel like a 12 year old,
I try to absorb my 61 years
as I try to absorb seeing our first born
with a family of her own,
yet I still see that little girl
who GOD blessed us with almost 38 years ago.
How can it be?
What has changed?
Just TIME.
But LOVE remains.
TIME may steal away TIME,
but it can't steal away LOVE.
I think of my grandmother,
through my eyes as a child
who always saw her as "old",
yet she was probably the age that I am today.
But TIME never got the best of her
as she would just sit and watch
and absorb our family doing life,
She was oh so content just being in the moment
that you could feel her
PEACE
because it was smothered in LOVE.
I wonder what she was thinking.
I wonder if she was missing my grandfather
who passed away when I was 4,
who I remember oh so well.
I wonder if she looked at my mother
and wondered how TIME had ticked by.
We can't stop TIME.
But TIME can't stop LOVE.
Don't ever allow anything to come between
LOVE.
GOD didn't allow an apple to come between HIS LOVE for HIS CHILDREN.
HE so LOVED
even as TIME ticked by
as HE created more children
that take up the pages of the bible
(and in the pages of our stories),
who may not have been eating apples,
yet chose to eat other things that they weren't supposed to eat,
yet GOD kept LOVING
to a point of death on a CROSS.
LOVE begins with GOD.
For where would you be without GOD.
You wouldn't be here.
I am just feeling sentimental this morning.
How are you this morning?
What are you feeling?
Is there someone who you are thinking about?
Is there someone who you want to reach out to say I LOVE you, yet it has been way too long?
Is there someone who you need to FORGIVE, yet you just can't let them off the hook because
your hurt is so deep?
Is there someone who you know who is all alone who needs a wee bit of LOVE?
Is the someone you?
Today is your day.
To take that extra step
and FAST from whatever is keeping you from
sharing HIS LOVE
with that one someone or someones.
Whether it is
FASTING from UNFORGIVENESS
so you will FORGIVE.
Whether it is
FASTING from PRIDE
so you can make that phone call, or a visit, or even a text.
Whether it is
FASTING from the
FEAR to RECEIVE the LOVE OF GOD
that never dies,
so that you can spread the
LOVE OF GOD
to others who may be dying inside
because they need the
LOVE OF GOD.
Maybe today is
SENTIMENTAL SUNDAY.
Therefore
let's make it a SUNDAY that
you won't ever forget
because GOD will use you
to take that step
that brings
LOVE into this TIME right now
because
TIME doesn't stop for anyone,
BUT LOVE takes the TIME to stop for someone.
Therefore,
take the TIME today to
LOVE
with HIS TIMELESS LOVE
that is all around us
for us to see, to feel, to receive, and to give
if we would just the TIME
to embrace
