Once Upon A Time there was a man
who was hanging from a limb
on the side of a cliff with the raging seas below.
He shouted,
"GOD, HELP ME!"
And then a helicopter was hovering over him.
The man shouted out again,
"GOD, HELP ME!"
And then a hot air balloon was above him.
The man shouted out again,
"GOD, HELP ME!"
And then a parachute fell upon a limb .
The man became agitated
as he shouted again,
"GOD, HELP ME!"
And then below him
there came a SHIP
with the captain telling him to jump,
guaranteeing his safety.
Now the man was really frustrated
as he called out again,
"GOD, HELP ME!"
And at that moment the limb broke
and the man fell into the raging seas and drowned.
But when he opened his eyes
he was in heaven
and there was GOD.
The man was really agitated now.
As he looked GOD right in the eyes and asked,
"Why didn't you help me?"
And GOD replied,
"I sent a helicopter.
I sent a hot air balloon.
I sent a parachute.
I sent a SHIP"
Hmm.
GOD send SHIPS all the time,
yet don't we look for the perfect boat
to answer our request of
"GOD, HELP ME!"
But GOD sends a phone call from a friend who you haven't heard from in years~
A SHIP!
"GOD, Help Me!"
And GOD sends a smile from the cashier at the store~
A SHIP!
"GOD, Help Me!"
And GOD sends a sunny day~
A SHIP!
Look around.
GOD always sends help in every moment as
HE sends a SHIP
while we are still looking for the boat.
What is the cry of your heart?
What are you waiting to see, to hear, or to experience
as your answer to your
"GOD, Help Me!"
Did you ever think that maybe just maybe
the fact that you are able to cry out to
GOD,
your SHIP already came in?
Today is Sunday when you get to
FAST from whatever is weighing you down.
What is keeping you hanging from a limb,
because you just can't let go
UNTIL GOD answers your cry of
"GOD, HELP ME"
the way you want HIM to answer?
So instead just jump into HIS arms
and
"Wait for & confidently expect the LORD; Be strong & let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for & confidently expect the LORD" (Psalm 27:14)
because
GOD has sent a SHIP~
JESUS~
for
HE IS ALWAYS
