Day 9: Perfectly Perfect

Am I PERFECT?

Oh no way.

I tried to be PERFECT,

by DOING more,

and by BEING more,

for everyone else

because I was told I was not PERFECT.

I wish I would have known then what I know now,

NOW that I met the PERFECT ONE

who covers all my IMPERFECTIONS with HIMSELF.

Tears stream down my face,

as I remember the moment I

 experienced

HIS GRACE

for the first time,

at a time when I truly felt that I don't deserve it all.

For who GRACES someone who isn't PERFECT?

Hmm.

THE PERFECT LOVE OF JESUS.

YES, PEFECT LOVE.

A PERFECT LOVE

that does not CONDEMN ANYONE

who COMES TO JESUS.

"Therefore there is NOW no condemnation in those who are in CHRIST JESUS"

(Romans 8:1)

Sounds so simple, so why wouldn't someone

COME TO JESUS?

Could it be because they BELIEVE that JESUS is just too PERFECT for them?

That JESUS would not ACCEPT them?

And I say,

JUST COME and SEE.

JUST COME and EXPERIENCE PERFECT LOVE that

RECEIVES the IMPERFECT.

Oh AMAZING GRACE.

that covers me, because I CAME.

Oh GRACE

that covers you, because you CAME.

Oh GRACE

that will cover you, because you COME.

Oh AMAZING GRACE

that takes every IMPERFECT SECOND of your life

and LOVES you with a LOVE

that sets you FREE.

Am I PERFECT?

Oh not at all.

But am I PERFECT IN HIM?

Oh yes.

Only by HIS GRACE OF LOVE.

So when my IMPERFECTIONS strive to get the best of me,

it only takes a SECOND to COME TO JESUS,

for HE pours into me MORE of HIM,

that trumps all that I am not.

For why do I follow JESUS?

Why wouldn't I?

Will you join me and COME TO JESUS,

and walk up the stairway to heaven

with the ONE who overwhelms you with

everything that you always wanted, when you don't have all that you want,

because JESUS gives you what you NEED in every SECOND,

which is actually all that you every wanted in the first place.

TICK. TICK. TICK.

"Not that I, ________________, (put your name)  have already obtained it [this goal of being CHRISTLIKE] or have already been made perfect, but I, ________________,

actively press on so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which CHRIST JESUS. took hold of me and made me HIS own.

Brothers and sisters, I, ________________, do not consider that I, ________________, have made it my own yet; but one thing

I, ________________, do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead.

 I. ________________, press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of GOD in CHRIST JESUS"

(Philippians 3:12-14).

Thank YOU GOD for YOUR GRACE.

And all it takes is ONE SECOND that becomes a

LIFE CHANGING SECOND.

TICK. TICK. TICK.

"I, _______________, TURN TO YOU"
