Day 9: Joyful Seconds

A NEW DAY.

86,400 NEW SECONDS.

What are you going to do with them?

TICK. TICK. TICK.

Three seconds just passed.

And while writing that last line,

another three SECONDS passed.

Time flies.

Make every SECOND count,

even if the SECOND is not the one that you want.

When you are in pain.

When you are in wait.

When you are in bitterness

When you are in anxiety,

When you are in anger.

When you are in confusion.

When you are in sadness.

When you are in hopelessness.

When you are in fear.

When you are in doubt.

When you are just feeling how a HUMAN feels.

Make every SECOND count.

INVITE JESUS into every SECOND.

Talk to HIM about what you are feeling.

Tears are flowing as I just wrote that line,

because JESUS is always available,

HE listens.

HE knows HIS sheep.

HE hears HIS sheep.

For what SHEPHERD doesn't know HIS SHEEP.

For what SHEPHERD

 doesn't leave the 99

 to chase after the one who is running astray.

 THE GOOD SHEPHERD

takes the

weary

and

tired

 SHEEP,

who are exhausted from FEELING so human,

and puts him and puts her

on HIS shoulders,

to carry all their burdens

that cause such weariness.

TICK. TICK. TICK.

JESUS. JESUS. JESUS.

INVITE HIM into every SECOND~

 "Rejoice always, _____________*(put your name),

 and delight in your faith, _____________ ;

 be unceasing and persistent in prayer, _____________;

 in every situation, _____________,

 [no matter what the circumstances]

be thankful

and

_____________

 continually give thanks to GOD;

 for this is the will of GOD for you IN CHRIST JESUS"

( 1Thessalonians 5:16-18).
