There were two women.
Each had a son.
One son died in the night.
His mother took her son and
SWITCHED her son with the living son.
And oh how this SWITCH was not so good.
For when the other mother awoke.
she discovered "her son" was not alive,
but something was just not right as she spoke~
"When I got up in the morning to nurse my son,
behold, he was dead! But when I examined him closely in the morning,
behold, he was not my son, whom I had borne!”*
Oh what would you do?
Would you go before King Solomon
who was the wisest of wise
and tell him your story, like she did?
Oh yes.
But what if the mother who made the SWITCH
also speaks to Solomon~
“No! For the living one is my son, and the dead one is your son”*
What would you do if you knew it was lie.
Would you speak up again to the wisest of the wise?
Oh yes. You would do anything for your child.
"But the first woman said, 'No! For the dead one is your son, and the living one is my son'”.*
Hmm.
So what is the wisest of the wise to do?
Hmm.
But because wisdom his wisdom was a gift from GOD
all he could do was to be wise~
"And the king said, 'Get me a sword.' So they brought a sword before the king.
And the king said, 'Cut the living child in two, and give half to the one and half to the other'.”*
Yikes. Now that doesn't sound very wise.
"But the woman whose child was the living one spoke to the king, for she was deeply stirred over her son, and she said, 'Pardon me, my lord! Give her the living child, and by no means kill him!'” *
Hmm.
So who is the wise one?
The one who didn't make it about herself.
For IT WASN'T ABOUT HER because she made it about her son.
But oh, it wasn't done yet.
"But the other woman was saying, 'He shall be neither mine nor yours; cut him!'”*
Was that wise or unwise?
Who was this guilty mother really thinking about?
But then the wisest of the wise did what he did best, using his GOD given gift of WISDOM~
"Give the first woman the living child, and by no means kill him.
She is his mother”*(1 Kings 3:16-28)
Oh what a story.
Oh what a REAL LIFE STORY
because of a
REAL GOD.
For GOD doesn't make this stuff up.
I don't make this stuff up.
For when you really get out of the way
of what you want when you want it
and will do anything to get it,
even if it means
SWITCHING your dead baby for the life of another
and lie to tell about it,
there is ONE who is the wisest of all
who even allowed HIS SON to be cut to death
so that we can make the SWITCH~
HIS DEATH for our life.
So maybe just maybe
JESUS didn't make it about HIMSELF
because the whole time HE was on the CROSS
HE was making the greatest SWITCH ever~
