You know the game.
Someone HIDES. Someone SEEKS.
The SEEKING one starts counting
and the HIDING one HIDES.
And then once the words
"Ready or not here I come"
are heard,
the game begins.
There is no turning back,
until the HIDER is FOUND.
The length of the game is determined by the
HIDING PLACE.
When was this game first played?
In the very beginning with
Adam & Eve~
the first HIDERS.
And then the game began
when
THE SEEKER shows up
with the WORDS~
"WHERE ARE YOU?"*
And then the GAME was over,
the moment Adam answered from the
HIDING place~
“I heard the sound of YOU in the garden,
and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself" *(Genesis 3:9-10).
TO HIDE~
"to prevent something, including oneself, from being seen or discovered" (logos).
FEAR HIDES!
So who were Adam & Eve really HIDING from?
Oh yes from GOD,
but also themselves
because that is what
SHAME does.
But there is
GOD
watching the whole game,
wanting to stop the game,
because
GOD doesn't play games
because
LIFE isn't a GAME.
Why would you HIDE from someone who LOVES you?
Why would you HIDE from someone who CREATED you?
Only because you don't know who
GOD REALLY IS.
GOD IS LOVE
and
LOVE ALWAYS FINDS you
no matter how good you think your
HIDING place is.
Why would GOD even ask the question
"WHERE ARE YOU"
when HE knew exactly where they were?
Because that is what LOVE does.
LOVE FINDS
you & me & everyone else
with a huge shout that ends the game~
"Come out come out wherever you are".
LOVE IS A RELATIONSHIP!
LOVE FINDS to LOVE the HIDER
because
"There is no fear in LOVE. But perfect LOVE drives out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment.
The one who fears is not made perfect in LOVE" (I John 4:18).
because
LOVE covers ALL!
Maybe that is why
GOD didn't HIDE JESUS on the CROSS
the day HE nailed
EVERY THING
that would cause me & you & everyone else
ever to want to HIDE.
That one thing
that you wish you didn't do
that covers you with SHAME
because you fall short of not only your own
EXPECTATIONS that you place on yourself
but also the EXPECTATIONS that others placed on you,
but most of all the falling short of
the EXPECTATIONS that you believe GOD has placed on you.
Anyone who HIDES is HIDING from their CREATOR
whether they believe so or not.
BUT GOD has one EXPECTATION~
TO RECEIVE & BELIEVE IN JESUS
who didn't HIDE on the cross,
but was laid bare
wearing
ALL our SHAMEFUL acts
to put them to DEATH
so we don't have to ever
HIDE anymore.
Oh our LOVING GOD
SEEKS THE LOST
so that they will be
FOUND
so that LIFE isn't a GAME anymore
as it becomes about living
THE ABUNDANT LIFE
so that everyone WINS.
READY OR NOT
JESUS HAS COME!
Therefore
