As I look back over my life
I realize that I was RUNNING,
yet knowing that I was RUNNING
until
GOD caught me
and stopped me in my tracks,
because HE was the ONE who
has been chasing me
my whole life
while I was RUNNING in the other direction.
Why do we do it?
Why do we RUN from SOMEONE who
not only wants to LOVE us,
but who CREATED each one of us.
It sounds so silly
to waste so much energy
RUNNING ourselves into WEARINESS,
when
we have a GOD who
grows weary.
So what was I RUNNING from?
I wasn't necessarily RUNNING from GOD
as I was running from
myself
because
"myself" was told
that I wasn't LOVABLE.
But how do you find yourself
if you keep RUNNING from your self?
Whose voice are you listening to?
"Your own ears will hear HIM.
Right behind you a voice will say,
'This is the way you should go,'
whether to the right or to the left" (Isaiah 30:21).
I cry happy tears
because
I stopped RUNNING
the moment
JESUS caught me
and refuses to let me go.
HE RUNS with me wherever I go,
as HE takes me where I am supposed to go
when I stop RUNNING
and
STAND STILL IN HIM.
I can't do life without HIM
and you can't either.
Look to the left.
Look to the right.
"It is the LORD who goes before you. HE will be with you;
HE will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed” (Deuteronomy 31:8).
And oh how GOD means what HE says and says what HE means
or HE wouldn't have sent
JESUS
who will never ever ever
run away from you,
because HE tells us so~
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears MY voice and opens the door,
I will come in and eat with that person, and they with ME" (Revelation 3:20)
As HE invites all to~
"Come to ME, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).
The ONE who
stops our wearisome RUNNING to
seeking LOVE from
other spaces and places
the moment we
STANDSTILL IN HIM
so that we
BLOOM in HIS LOVE
that is
ETERNALLY YOURS
because
