HE was always there
even when others were not.
The loneliness was paralyzing
as I would sit alone
and wonder if anyone cared.
I knew GOD did
yet I wanted someone with skin on.
BUT GOD
keep drawing me closer & closer & closer
so it was just me & HIM & no one else.
Drawing me closer to HIMSELF
so HE became enough,
actually MORE THAN ENOUGH
because
when GOD gets you so alone
that there is no one in sight
HE is saying that
I LOVE YOU
&
I WANT TO BE WITH YOU
&
WILL YOU SIMPLY LET ME LOVE YOU.
And then everything changes
the moment GOD gets to your heart
when HE takes you to that lonely place
when it is only you & HIM & no one else.
HE was SIMPLY drawing me closer
because HE is a selfish GOD
who selfishly LOVES us all way too much
to every let us be left alone.
