Now I really am convicted today as
DEPENDENCE
has taken on a whole different meaning.
JONESING FOR JESUS~
"to have a strong need, desire, or craving for"(google)
JONESING FOR JESUS
because JESUS
meets
every strong need
every desire
every craving.
To be addicted to JESUS.
To be FIXATED on HIM.
To FIX your eyes on JESUS
when a dead end is all you see.
To FIX your eyes on JESUS
when anxiety is your best friend.
To FIX your eyes on JESUS
when loneliness is paralyzing.
To FIX your eyes on JESUS
when
the what ifs
the if onlys
the should haves
the would haves
&
the could haves
leave you stuck.
To FIX your eyes on JESUS~
To
Have Confidence in.
To Crave HIM
To Believe HIM.
To Trust HIM.
To be Obsessed with.
To have an Addictedness to HIM
is
what sets one
FREE.
Are you JONESING for~
Peace
Joy
Hope
Love
and where are you looking for it?
When my eyes are FIXED on
other people, places and things
to fill those inner
needs, desires & cravings,
there always remains an unfulfilled hole that
still needs to be fed.
Because
whatever my eyes & whatever your eyes are FIXED on
to fill
that void inside
that is what you will become.
To JONES for JESUS
is to
FIX your eyes on
"whatever is true,
whatever is noble,
whatever is right,
whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely,
whatever is admirable—
if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things" (Philippians 4:8)
and that is
"fixing our eyes on JESUS, the author and perfecter of faith" (Hebrews 12:2)
Because when you are FIXATED on JESUS
you can't be FIXATED on anything else that blocks the path
of
Living FREE
Because
"If the SON has set you free
you will be free indeed" (John 8:36)
&
Being FREE
is
Being
DEPENDENT~
Confident
Craving
Believing
Trusting
Obsessing
Addicted
&
JONESING FOR JESUS.
