Day 8: God Knows The Real You

Once upon a time

they were defined not be a NAME,

but by a label,

yet

JESUS

sees behind the label.

JESUS sees her at the well,

 the one whose name is SAMARITAN woman

who had five husbands and now a plus one.

 JESUS SEES her and talks to her,

not taking a drink of water

 but giving one to her~

 "but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life"

(John 14:13).

 HE clothes her with FORGIVENESS and FAVOR,

and she walks away with DIGNITY.

And the woman whose name is

SICK WOMAN with the bleeding issue.

 JESUS SEES her because she touched HIM.

And HE heals her,

clothing her with FAVOR by giving her a new name of DAUGHTER.

 And she walks away with

DIGNITY~

“Daughter you faith has healed you. Go in peace”

 (Luke 8:48).

And the one whose name is CAUGHT IN ADULTERY.

JESUS SEES her in the midst of her guilt.

And HE clothes her with FAVOR.

“Then neither do I condemn you,” JESUS declared. “Go now & leave your life of sin” (John 8:11).

And she walks away with DIGNITY.

 And the one whose name is THE CRIPPLED for eighteen years.

JESUS SEES her and invites her to come.

 And HE clothes her with FAVOR.

. “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then HE put HIS hands on her…"

 And she walks away with DIGNITY.

"...and immediately she straightened up & praised GOD" 

(Luke 13:11-13).

And the one whose name is THE SINFUL WOMAN

 who anointed JESUS' feet.

 JESUS SEES her the moment

HE feels her hair wipe her tears from HIS feet

 and then cleans them with perfume in the alabaster jar.

HE clothes her with FAVOR.

"Then JESUS said to the woman,

'Your sins are forgiven'...

 And JESUS said to the woman,

 'Your faith has saved you; go in peace' ”

(Luke 7:48, 50).

 And she walks away with DIGNITY.

 And you the one who is labeled as

_________.

And HE SEES you

 And HE TALKS to you.

 And HE FEELS your heart

 And HE clothes you with FORGIVENESS and FAVOR.

And you walk away with DIGNITY.

 Because that is who JESUS is

and

 that is who you are~

"__________________ (put your name),

 is clothed with strength & dignity & laughs without fear of the future" 

(Proverbs 31:25).

But what if the labeled women walked away

as

a wife of many, sick, adulterous crippled, and a sinner?

But they didn't

because

they owned their new IDENTITY

"Therefore,

 if anyone is in CHRIST, he is a new creation.

The old has passed away; behold, the new has come"

(2 Corinthians 5:17).

REAL LIFE. REAL STORY. REAL GOD.

So I ask you,

are you a label or

"WHO YOU SAY I AM"
