You look at all your MASKS and choose the one
that displays your heart.
You want to wear
JOY,
yet you just aren't feeling it.
You want to wear
HOPE,
yet you are in despair.
You want to wear
PEACE,
but you are anxious about everything.
But then you find the MASK that says it all~
SICK & TIRED.
So you wear it when you go out
and realize that everyone is wearing the same one.
But then you see someone's eyes
that are smiling so bright
as if they aren't even wearing a MASK.
Oh you want what they have.
You can see their
JOYFUL
HOPEFUL
PEACEFUL
heart,
because the eyes are the window to the heart.
Then you look at their MASK
and you see the words
WHATEVER IS.
Oh how you want their MASK
if it could make your heart smile.
But the words "WHATEVER IS"?
Oh you want WHATEVER their WHATEVER IS.
You get closer to them and see the small print~
PHILIPPIANS 4:8
Now you have to do some work
and get a Bible and look up this
PHILIPPIANS 4:8 thing
because you want what they have
because you are so SICK & TIRED
of everything that you are seeing & feeling.
You blow the dust off your Bible
and finally find
PHILIPPIANS 4:8~
"Finally, brothers and sisters,
WHATEVER IS true,
WHATEVER IS honorable,
WHATEVER IS right,
WHATEVER IS pure,
WHATEVER IS lovely,
WHATEVER IS commendable,
if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things".
There it is~
"WHATEVER IS".
You have been focused on the wrong things the whole time
as it is all about thinking about what you are thinking about
&
You have been thinking about
WHATEVER IS happening right now
&
WHATEVER IS not happening right now,
&
your
WHATEVER IS
is just not bringing any
JOY
HOPE
PEACE.
So you tear off your
SICK & TIRED MASK
&
make a new one with the words
"WHOEVER IS"
to remind you to you keep your eyes
FIXED ON JESUS
because HE is
"WHATEVER IS true,
WHATEVER IS honorable,
WHATEVER IS right,
WHATEVER IS pure,
WHATEVER IS lovely,
WHATEVER IS commendable".
and now you are flooded with
REAL JOY
REAL HOPE
REAL PEACE
even while you still have to wear a MASK.
Oh how everything changes
even in the midst of being sick & tired
when you choose where
