You are WAITING for ___________ to change.
A circumstance.
A feeling.
A person.
You have been WAITING for ______________ to change,
and nothing has changed.
So you start thinking about what you
SHOULD do
or COULD do,
to help GOD give you what you want when you want it.
For it all then becomes about your timing,
because GOD'S TIMING just appears to be too slow.
And then you hear the soft whisper deep within your soul,
"TRUST ME!"
Ouch.
GOD gets your attention.
GOD got my attention.
For GOD so LOVES that HE shows up to remind me
that HE is GOD and does not need my help.
Oh what a wake up call,
when GOD wakes you up with
HIS WORDS of TRUTH.
How would GOD define WAIT?
I would answer with the word
TRUST!
For TRUST is what changes you while you are
WAITING
for that circumstance,
or that person,
or that feeling to change.
TRUSTING takes you deeper into the heart of GOD,
which takes you closer to JESUS who wants
ALL your HEART.
And there HE is!
TRUST ME!
Does TRUST ME
mean to JUST SAY that
I am TRUSTING GOD,
yet continue to
DWELL on what I am WAITING FOR GOD TO DO,
instead of DWELLING IN HIM?
Hmm.
BE STILL AND KNOW that GOD IS GOD,
because I am not god.
TRUST GOD!
When GOD SAYS TRUST ME HE MEANS TRUST ME!
For when you SURRENDER and TRUST HIM.
"IT" happens,
GOD HAPPENS,
even if what you want when you want it isn't happening.
Because GOD always keeps HIS PROMISES,
for HE shows up in a way that dramatically
pierces your heart with exactly what you NEED.
For I remember the moment when I was growing weary in
THE WAIT,
and then I heard the words
TRUST ME!
And there was GOD, using the words of another,
that HE obviously handpicked for me,
as HIS asking me to TRUST HIM
was just an appetizer to what HE had for me.
I was reading the words of a devotional,
and it was if an arrow went straight to my heart,
piercing it with
TRUST ME.
Here is what I read after GOD asked me to TRUST HIM~
"Self–awareness is not sin, and it can be produced by nervous emotions or by suddenly being dropped into a totally new set of circumstances.
Yet it is never GOD'S will that we should be anything less than absolutely complete in HIM. ANYTHING that disturbs our rest in HIM must be rectified at once,
and it is not rectified by being ignored but only by coming to JESUS CHRIST.
If we will come to HIM, asking HIM to produce CHRIST~awareness in us,
HE will always do it, until we fully learn to abide in HIM"
(Oswald Chambers).
As I was reading this, it was as if a neon sign was blinking before my face
to,
"TRUST GOD
with ALL my HEART
and not to LEAN on my OWN UNDERSTANDING
and in ALL my ways
ACKNOWLEDGE HIM
and
HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATHS"
(Proverbs 3:6).
Now I have read this verse a gazillion times.
Now I have recited this verse a gazillion times.
But is reading and reciting this verse mactually
LIVING out HIS WORDS?
TO TRUST or NOT TO TRUST,
or better asked,
TO BELIEVE or NOT TO BELIEVE GOD?
GOD is so gracious that HE HEARS your HEART WORDS,
and HE always ANSWERS.
"TRUST ME".
And what does TRUST mean?
TRUST!
TO SURRENDER to the ONE whom you place your TRUST.
Who do you TRUST?
Where do place your TRUST?
Is it in your FEELINGS, CIRCUMSTANCES, PEOPLE, or THINGS?
Oh how TRUSTING in my FEELINGS with ALL my heart.
and leaning on MY FEELINGS for UNDERSTANDING,
as to what PATH I SHOULD take,
never ever ever leads me to a good place.
TRUST GOD!
For I didn't and you didn't create ourselves.
TRUST GOD,
for only THE CREATOR KNOWS HIS CREATIONS
through and through.
Therefore,
shouldn't GOD be the ONE who to whom we place our TRUST,
because GOD'S ANSWER to ALL our NEEDS
are found IN JESUS.
So where did GOD take me
after I was going down the
"SHOULD" path?
HE lead me back to the right path,
of
TRUSTING HIM with ALL my HEART,
as HE took me back to the
SERMON ON THE MOUNT~
"But first and most importantly
SEEK (aim at, strive after)
HIS kingdom and HIS righteousness~
HIS way of doing and being right,
the attitude and character of GOD~
and all these things will be given to you also"
(Matthew 6:33)
Therefore,
will you join me today and
TRUST GOD
with ALL your
FEELINGS,
CIRCUMSTANCES,
RELATIONSHIPS,
and
THINGS,
by
SEEKING HIM FIRST
so that
TRUST becomes more than just a
word,
but a way of LIFE.
TO TRUST or NOT TO TRUST?
There is only one answer~
"TRUST IN GOD"
(listen to the song below)
