It is like a slow leak.
You don't know it is happening,
until it happens.
One moment you
are filled with
CONFIDENCE in the LORD,
so that nothing shakes you.
And then it happens.
Your
CONFIDENCE begins
to dwindle,
because
what you
SEE and what you FEEL
makes you
LOSE HEART.
You feel as if someone is
nibbling at your heart
making it LESS.
It is still beating,
but you feel as you are missing a beat.
You lose your footing.
TO LOSE HEART~
DEMORALIZED!
What a descriptive word.
DEMORALIZED~
"a persistent inability to cope, together with associated feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, meaninglessness, subjective incompetence and diminished self-esteem" (Frank).
Oh to LOSE HEART is so REAL,
and maybe that is why JESUS tells us
TO TAKE HEART~
"In this world you will have trouble.
But TAKE HEART!
I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
To TAKE HEART~
To pluck up COURAGE.
Wow.
To pluck up COURAGE.
To GET UP.
To CLAIM what is yours.
"Be strong and let your hearts take courage,
All you who wait for and confidently expect the LORD" (Psalm 31:24).
Therefore,
TAKE COURAGE!
Therefore,
TAKE HEART!
And when you
TAKE HEART,
JOY overtakes your HEART.
Ready. Get Set. Go.

in GOD'S TRUTH~
Therefore,

Though outwardly I, __________, am wasting away,
