Day 7: Complain No More

Think about it:

Don't do ANYTHING that you are going to COMPLAIN about later.

Is it eating that extra piece of cake?

Is it staying up too late at night?

Is it doing something that you know you shouldn't be doing,

but you do it anyway?

Or

Is it something that has happened to you beyond your control?

Is it ______________?

What is your ANYTHING?

No matter how it came about,

it is real.

Did you know that the first complainer was Adam?

He said yes to eat the apple that he knew that he wasn't supposed to eat!

He COMPLAINED to GOD that

“the woman you put here with me –

she gave me some fruit from the tree, & I ate it” (Genesis 3:12).

Adam blamed GOD.

COMPLAINING leads to BLAME~

Because it has to go somewhere.

Who do you BLAME for what you are COMPLAINING about?

Is it you?

Are you the initiator?

Is it someone else

or

something else that is out of your control?

COMPLAINING

has no power to take away what you just did,

what happened to you,

or what you may have to do.

It just adds more weight.

So how do we lose this pound of

COMPLAINING

no matter what is causing the

COMPLAINT~

COMPLAIN to GOD!

Yup.

Send your COMPLAINT to HIM.

COMPLAINT Defined:

babbling, communication, meditation, prayer, talk.

"I cry aloud to the LORD. I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy. I pour out before HIM my COMPLAINT; before HIM I tell my trouble"

(Psalm 142:1-2).

GOD is all ears.

GOD listens.

GOD will take your pound of COMPLAINT and

release you from carrying its burden of BLAME.

So let's FAST from COMPLAINING today.

Every time you want to

COMPLAIN,

Immediately send your

COMPLAINT

upward and "Trust in Him at all times, O people.

Pour out your heart before Him.

GOD is a safe place for us" (Psalm 62:8).

But most importantly

you will actually lose 2 pounds today,

because if you

FAST from COMPLAINING

there will be

no

BLAME.

So I ask you,

what if you had nothing to COMPLAIN about?

Would you

Could you

actually

experience

"JOY"
