GOD doesn't go backwards.
CHRISTMAS is a FORWARD MOTION.
The DAY the WORLD experienced
GOD'S LOVE
that
TRANSCENDED ALL UNDERSTANDING.
Who could BELIEVE it?
Who would BELIEVE it?
It was way too absurd to BELIEVE.
Actually,
it was TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
And today
it is still for so many,
as it still
TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING,
How can
THE SON OF GOD
be born
into this world
from the womb of an ordinary little girl,
who was
CHOSEN to DELIVER
the most precious
FOREVER GIFT,
who was born to
DELIVER
everyone?
Absurd you say.
Because it is.
And that is why
it is so
TRUE TO BE GOOD.
So why not BELIEVE?
Oh I BELIEVE,
but at times I act as if I don't.
When I
grow weary waiting for
THE GOOD to come from something that is not so GOOD.
When I
GO BACKWARDS
trying to figure out the "whys" of why things are
happening and not happening.
And
when my heart is so heavy laden
because of great loss.
When
I start to
DOUBT GOD'S PROMISES.
Is GOD REAL?
Is JESUS REALLY THE SON OF GOD?
Is JESUS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
or is
JESUS so TRUE that HE IS THE GOOD!
JESUS is the GOOD in the not so GOOD.
JESUS is the GOOD in the unanswered questions.
JESUS is the GOOD in the heavy laden~ness of loss.
From the moment JESUS let out HIS first cry
when HE was DELIVERED into this world,
HE hasn't stopped
being
SO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
JESUS was BORN to DIE to RISE.
TRUTH BE TOLD.
Just ask the disciples.
"While they were still talking about this,
JESUS HIMSELF stood among them and said to them,
'Peace be with you.'
They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.
HE said to them,
'Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?
Look at my hands and my feet.
It is I myself!
Touch me and see;
a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have' "
(Luke 24: 36-39).
Oh did they BELIEVE it was really HIM?
Oh no, as it was
TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
DOUBT in the midst of THE TRUTH.
As JESUS always doing and being
TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
that HE was UNBELIEVABLE,
until HE did the UNBELIEVABLE again.
"When the disciples saw HIM walking on the water,
they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, 'It’s a ghost!'
But JESUS spoke to them at once. 'Don’t be afraid,'
HE said.
'Take courage. I am here!'"
(Matthew 14:26-27).
Oh how I treat JESUS like HE is a ghost.
A figment of my imagination when I am
DOUBTING HIM.
No more as
I RECEIVE HIS WORDS,
"You have so little faith,” JESUS said.
“Why did you doubt ME?”
(Matthew 14:31)
