I really LOVE JESUS.
I never thought I was going to be one of "them", but I am.
I cry when I think of HIM, with healing happy tears
as HE is really REAL as HE birthed something in me
that was laying dormant for so long,
that I didn't even realize that I was missing HIM.
All I want to do is talk about HIM.
All I want is for everyone to LOVE HIM too.
LOVE is more than just a word.
LOVE is who JESUS is
because who LOVES someone so deeply
that HE would be BORN as a BABY
and give up HIMSELF
to go through life to be
REJECTED
DESPISED
QUESTIONED
SHAMED
DENIED
MISUNDERSTOOD
and then have the staying power
to look at those who
CONDEMNED HIM
like a criminal.
But HE let them crucify HIM
in front of all who
LOVED HIM
and those who had no clue that
HE REALLY IS THE KING
who so LOVES.
But then again HE did know
as HE still had the breath left in HIS lungs
to say
“FATHER, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34)
that fell upon the ears of
those who LOVED HIM
&
those who didn't LOVE HIM
&
those who didn't know if they should or shouldn't LOVE HIM.
Oh I can't imagine the scene.
In the past, when I think about what I would have done if I there was there,
I would have been a PETER and denied I knew HIM.
But now I know what I would do
and if I did it
I probably would have been put on a cross right next to HIM.
And you know what~
I would LOVE it
because I would have stood out in the crowd and screamed
"Don't touch my JESUS".
My JESUS. Your JESUS.
And even those who crucified HIM,
HE is their JESUS.
I am FOREVER one of those who LOVE JESUS more than my life
as I continue to walk out in faith to let everyone know
because HE is who HE says HE is.
HE is the REAL GOD who came to earth
to be swaddled in RAGS,
in our RAGS,
to experience
what all humans experience in a lifetime
because that is who JESUS is.
HE understands
pain & hurt & rejection & condemnation & loneliness & sadness & whatever you are experiencing in this very moment.
Do your really LOVE JESUS?
Look up to the CROSS
and you will see what appears to be
a little helpless BABY
dressed in a diaper.
But the TRUTH is that
you will see a KING draped in the RICHES of
HOPE
PEACE
JOY
because of a
LOVE that needs no words,
because LOVE is an action
that is a GIFT GIVEN
to be RECEIVED by one and all.
Will you fall in LOVE with this BABY
who is our KING
who LOVED you to HIS DEATH
so that we can all LIVE as LOVED
in this very moment that lasts
beyond CHRISTMAS
because the little BABY
took the walk from the cradle to the cross.
