Day 6: Goodbye Isn't Forever

I never got to say GOOD-BYE.

I received the call that she passed on to be with GOD.

She is out of pain.

She has been set FREE.

But she was always FREE,

as she faced every trial with

"STRENGTH and DIGNITY

and

LAUGHED WITHOUT FEAR OF THE FUTURE"

 (Proverbs 31:25).

She was told years and years ago,

that she only had 6 months to live.

Fast forward to decades later,

and she was still here.

And again,

 she faced the battle of cancer,

with beauty and grace.

She was not afraid.

She was more worried about leaving her precious daughter,

her grandchildren

and her husband behind.

For it was never about PATTI,

because she always made it about JESUS.

Oh she LOVED JESUS.

HE was her SAVIOR.

HE held her through every surgery,

 through every chemo,

through it all.

For it was never about PATTI, 

because she always made it about JESUS.

Her life was poured out as a drink offering,

so that all you could see

when you were in her presence

was

 her LOVE OF JESUS,

and she didn't even have to say a word,

I am sad.

I miss her.

Yet through the tears,

I clothe myself with

STRENGTH and DIGNITY

and will

LAUGH WITHOUT FEAR OF THE FUTURE,

because

it is the only way to LIVE,

until we meet JESUS face to face.

Even though it breaks my heart that I never got to say

GOOD~BYE to PATTI,

I can hear her sweet voice telling me

that there are no GOOD~BYES needed

for those who LIVE IN JESUS.

For

one day we will all be reunited with

HIM FOREVER.

In my sadness there is JOY,

for she is now SEEING her FAITH ,

for she is

FACE to FACE

with JESUS.

If PATTI was still here

I would thank her

for walking the talk,

by always beaming the LIGHT of JESUS

no matter the trial she faced,

as she lived out the words of Paul~

"But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,

 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which

GOD has called me heavenward in CHRIST JESUS"

(Philippians 3: 13-14).

Make today a day that you EMBRACE those you LOVE

and LOVE those who may not even LOVE you.

Be a PATTI

who LOVED so deeply,

that is was never about her.

The following song started to play in the background

as I am writing this,

and I can hear THE JOY of PATTI singing it,

and telling us all to

REJOICE NOW,

for she

"LAUGHED WITHOUT FEAR OF THE FUTURE",

for she KNEW where her FUTURE was~

"When I go to be with JESUS, I’ll know I’m finally home.

 When my weary feet are walking on a street that’s paved in gold.

 No this world ain't where I’m staying,

 There’s somewhere else I’m meant to go.

 And when I go to be with JESUS I’ll know I’m finally home.

Even though I didn't get to say

GOOD~BYE to

PATTI (Patricia Eltzholtz),

I know she is alive and well forever,

for she made

JESUS her FUTURE.

Therefore,

her legacy lives on through all who have

experienced the LOVE OF JESUS through her,

as I am one of them.

So let's

"LAUGH WITHOUT FEAR OF THE FUTURE"

because real JOY is only found

IN JESUS!
