You know him as the guy who ran in the other direction
when GOD told him to go the other way,
which didn't go exactly as planned
for JONAH
for he ended up in the belly of a whale.
Oh when GOD says GO
and when FEAR says "don't"
you run in the opposite direction
just as a PRODIGAL
who thinks that life is way better far from where
GOD says GO.
For GOD isn't a die hard.
For GOD knows what HE is doing.
For GOD knows the way we should go.
Oh to OBEY & GO,
even though we want to
STOP~
because entering into the
UNKNOWN
brings fear.
But knowing that GOD is in the UNKNOWN
waiting to meet us there
why would you or I want to end up in the belly of a whale
when we can sit on the shoreline
and look at a whale instead.
Oh to do the UNCOMFORTABLE
and
GO when you don't wanna,
but you go anyway
feeling like a
PRODIGAL
because it is against everything that you are feeling in the moment,
but it is right where GOD meets you
so that you can eliminate the middle man,
the whale
who swallows you whole
leaving you quite helpless and hopeless
that you have no choice but to scream
to the ONE who has placed you there.
“In my distress I called to the LORD,
and HE answered me.
From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help...
But you, LORD my GOD,
brought my life up from the pit"(Jonah 2:1;6)
Oh JONAH aren't you glad that GOD chased you down,
not giving up on you, HIS creation,
because HIS eyes were peeled on you
and HIS PURPOSES.
And no one can thwart GOD'S PLAN~
"Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand" (Proverbs 19:21)
GOD'S PLAN for the PRODIGAL to bring him HOME.
Oh to LIVE AS A PRODIGAL~
doing not what the world tells us to do,
but what GOD asks us to do
no matter how uncomfortable it is
because
HIS WILL BE DONE
whether we sign up for HIS team or not.
Be Ferocious for JESUS.
Never stop following HIM into your destiny
which is in HIS everlasting arms.
Oh how I bet JONAH wished he would have
immediately
responded to GOD's call to GO
by shouting
"I WILL GO",
but thanks for GOD's persistence
as HE wants no one to perish
therefore HE won't stop chasing down HIS kids.
So let's continue to shout together
