Oh he had one mission
and that one mission
was to steal CHRISTmas
from every WHO in Whoville.
And oh how he thought he succeeded
as he stripped every house
of every gift
of every ornament
of every piece of food
of everything that he believed was their reason for the season,
but he left one thing behind
that can not be stolen
that can not be stripped away
even when it appears that everything that is important is stripped away
because they sang and sang with JOYFUL hearts
on that CHRISTmas morn.
Not even the Grinchiest Grinch could steal
the JOY from their hearts
because their JOY was from within
and not from without.
Oh
even when everything that you once knew
is stripped away
you still have that beating heart inside
that no one can snatch from you,
because you gave it away to the
ONE
who came stripped down as a
little BABY
to be then stripped down on a cross
to be left for dead
until
HE messed up that one mission
that so many tried to stop
yet they never succeeded
to steal
CHRISTmas
so that JESUS could fulfill
HIS MISSION
from the cradle to the cross.
As
the singing came after the stripping
of HIS grave cloths
on that Easter morning
and hasn't stopped since then
because
even the Grinchiest Grinch
does not have the power
to
steal what is not his~
because you & me & everyone else
who is
IN CHRIST
have an inheritance that is way bigger
then a couple of gifts & decorated trees & the
CHRISTmas feast
that can not be stripped away~
"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;
no one will snatch them out of my hand.
My FATHER, who has given them to ME, is greater than all;
no one can snatch them out of MY FATHER'S hand.
I and the FATHER are ONE” (John 10:28-30)
Oh The Grinch may be a made up character
yet with a REALITY message~
that when everything is stripped away
where is your JOY rooted?
So let's join together
during this season
not fixated on what has been stripped away
but on the ONE who
hasn't been stripped away
from you & me & everyone else
who will continue to
keep
CHRIST in CHRISTMAS
because
CHRISTMAS is forever on our hearts,
and that my friend
is worth singing about it
just like every WHO in WHOVILLE (watch below)
who haven't stopped singing.
