Once upon a time there lived a man named
JOSEPH,
who had many jealous brothers.
"But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers,
they hated him and could not speak peacefully to him".*
Because of their jealousy,
many
DOORS were OPENED
in JOSEPH'S LIFE.
Are all OPEN DOORS treated the same?
Just because GOD OPENS a DOOR,
does that mean that it will appear to be GOOD,
or will GOD use all DOORS for GOOD?
Just ask JOSEPH.
He was thrown into a CISTERN~
..."they took him and threw him into the cistern.
The cistern was empty; there was no water in it"*
(Genesis 37).
OPEN DOOR!
Joseph was then sold into slavery and brought to Egypt.
OPEN DOOR!
Joseph was purchased by Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh,
and made his personal assistant
in charge of his entire household and everything he owned.
OPEN DOOR!
Joseph was falsely accused by Potiphar's wife, and imprisoned.
OPEN DOOR!
He was released from the prison and promoted to govern the land by Pharaoh.
OPEN DOOR!
Joseph's brothers come to Egypt to buy grain, meeting Joseph face to face.
OPEN DOOR!
Joseph had the opportunity to punish his brothers for putting him in the cistern.
OPEN DOOR!
But Joseph didn't.
OPEN DOOR!
"As for you, you meant evil against me, but GOD meant it for good,
to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today"
(Genesis 50:20).
KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.
Are you walking through an OPEN DOOR that you did not open?
"As for you, you meant evil against me, but GOD meant it for good".
Are you living in an OPEN DOOR CIRCUMSTANCE
that you wish would close?
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,
whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
Let perseverance finish its work so
that you may be mature and complete,
not lacking anything"
(James 1:2-4).
So I ask you~
Are OPEN DOORS GOOD or NOT SO GOOD?
"And we know [with great confidence] that GOD
[who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together
[as a plan] for good for those who love GOD,
to those who are called according to HIS plan and purpose"
(Romans 8:28 AMP).
KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.
So I ask you~
Are OPEN DOORS GOOD or NOT SO GOOD?
And you respond~
"FOR THE GOOD"
(listen to the song below)
