Will I sacrifice my ETERNITY for things of this world?
ETERNITY is for everyone,
as no one dies forever
because there is a place
that we will ALL live forever,
and it is our choice
where we will spend it.
Now this doesn't sound very falalalala
and all CHRISTMASY
but it is.
As I look at the BABY in my nativity
I realize I actually have
4 BABY JESUSES,
all different~
One from Charlie Brown's Christmas.
One of giant felt.
One of pewter.
One of fine china.
Hmm,
without even trying
I just "happened" to have all these nativities that are surrounding me.
I know that sounds absurd,
as I don't collect nativities,
but I started laughing
as it just "organically" happened~
as don't we surround ourselves with what
and who we love?
4 different BABY JESUSES~
yet
One size fits all.
One BABY
all dressed differently,
whether to speak to a child's heart
or to a grown adult.
JESUS~
One size fits all
because HE came for ALL~
“Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for
ALL the people" (Luke 2:10)
And HE died for ALL~
"HE died for everyone so that those who receive HIS new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for CHRIST, who died and was raised for them" (2 Corinthians 5:15)
ALL means ALL.
Not just the good.
Not just the happy.
Not just the ones who look good & happy.
ALL~
the fallen
the sad
the lonely
the confused
the depressed
the lost
the ______.
FOR ALL!
JESUS~
One size fits ALL.
No matter what my JESUS looks like,
even as a grown up gumby,
HE is JESUS
that fits
every season
every emotion
every age group
every problem
every falling short of the perfection of GOD
because
HE is the PERFECT
that covers us
that welcomes us into
ETERNITY
that is life beyond this,
and that is forever.
Your choice. My choice. ALL people's choice.
To wear JESUS forever or not to wear JESUS forever,
because when it is all said and done
we will ALL come before GOD
when HE calls us HOME,
but ALL won't enter into
THE PERFECT ETERNITY
where JESUS has gone to prepare a place for you & me & ALL who believe.
Give yourself the best gift money can't buy
and pass it along to ALL who you know
so that
when this life is all said and done
we are ALL feasting with our
BABY JESUS
who was born
for ALL to
RECEIVE & BELIEVE~
because isn't HE ALL we have ALL been searching for?
