There she was.
She SHOWED UP
not expecting to
have a conversation with anyone
as she came
at the time of day when no one else would be there.
She SHOWED UP to draw some water
and
there HE was.
HE just started the conversation that
the woman never expected.
“Will you give me a drink?”
The Samaritan woman said to HIM, 'You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman.
How can you ask me for a drink?' (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans).
JESUS answered her, 'If you knew the gift of GOD and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked HIM and HE would have given you living water'”*
What would you do?
JESUS is talking to you.
Would you BELIEVE that it is HIM,
the MESSIAH,
who everyone was EXPECTANTLY waiting to come.
But what if you SHOWED up at the well
and JESUS started talking to you
and then HE told you that HE knew
about your life,
every detail of it,
nothing hidden
because HE knew that
"you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband" *(John 4)
Hmm.
JESUS KNEW.
And JESUS still offered her, a samaritan woman,
HIS LIVING WATER.
The "HER", whose life of sin was like a neon light,
as everyone knew her and her lifestyle
but there
at a well
in the afternoon
JESUS asks for water from "her".
Oh the heart of JESUS~
"there is now no condemnation for those who are in CHRIST JESUS" (Romans 8:1).
Did you catch that?.
NO CONDEMNATION!
JESUS didn't come to CONDEMN~
"For GOD did not send HIS SON into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through HIM" (John 3:17)
Oh this is just one of the many conversations
JESUS had with one of "them"~
the rejected
the shamed
the guilty
and the conversations that
HE still has with "them"`~
the rejected
the shamed
the guilty

I was one of "them".
I did not have five husbands and a plus one,
but I have fallen short of perfection
because of my human status.
BUT JESUS
SHOWED UP because I SHOWED UP
and HE breathed life back into my lost soul
that has changed my life forever
because
I PUT HIM IN MY STORY~
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for _________ who is in CHRIST JESUS".
Oh my friend this blank line is for EVERYONE'S NAME,
especially
the rejected
the shamed
the guilty.
And all JESUS asked was for a glass of water from a samaritan woman
so HE could have a conversation with her
and let her know that
her name belonged on the blank line,
just like yours.
So
take a moment to remember
to who you belong and
PUT HIM IN YOUR STORY~
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for _________ who is in CHRIST JESUS"
