Right now I don't BELIEVE GOD can.
And right now, after I wrote that,
I see where my problem lies,
and it is where my problem "lies"
because
GOD CAN DO ALL THINGS.
So maybe the word I am looking for is
"WILL".
WILL GOD DO what I am not BELIEVING HE WILL do?
What a gut wrenching reality question.
Now this gets to the HEART of the issue~
WILL GOD DO____________?
You fill in the blank.
And now I realize why I am feeling the way I am feeling.
I am in the space of WAIT.
THE WAIT OF FAITH~
"Wait for the LORD be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!"
(Psalm 27:14).
THE WAIT OF FAITH
is a vulnerable WAIT
where you are WAITING for something from GOD
and having to
TRUST HIM 100%
and BELIEVE HIM 100%
when you don't yet have what you are
WAITING FOR.
Oh
it can turn into a
FEARFUL place
because what if GOD doesn't do what you are asking HIM to do?
And then I think
WHAT IF?
Is GOD STILL GOD?
YES.
Is GOD STILL working ALL THINGS for the GOOD for me and for you
WHO LOVE HIM (Romans 8:28).
YES.
GOD does HIS best GOOD IN THE WAIT.
Oh the sweet spot of WAIT.
THE WAIT OF FAITH is where HOPE is found.
"For GOD alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my HOPE is from HIM" (Psalm 62:5)
THE HOPE OF FAITH
is all about the word HOPE.
What are you HOPING to happen or unhappen?
But what if HOPE was not about what you want or unwant,
and it is all about what GOD'S HOPE is for you.
Think about that.
Really thing about it,
because GOD is making me not only think about it,
as HE just brought me back to where my issue is
from where I started this morning.
When I don't BELIEVE CAN DO what I am asking HIM to do
or when I don't BELIEVE GOD WILL,
I have misplaced HOPE.
When my HOPE is IN THE LORD
the WAIT OF FAITH becomes the sweetspot
where GOD meets me in my HEART right where it is.
Read that again.
Where GOD meets me in my HEART right where it is.
Oh when GOD meets you in this tender spot
HE overwhelms you with HIS PRESENCE
that you forget whether GOD CAN or if GOD WILL
because GOD ALREADY DID.
THE WAIT OF FAITH is the intimate spot where only GOD can take you
so that it is where you and GOD are alone
WAITING TOGETHER.
So now there is no place I would rather be
as tears stream through my being.
But they are HAPPY TEARS
because my HOPE IS IN GOD.
And when your HOPE IS IN GOD
then you always have ALL that you need
and ALL that you WANT
because
WAITING IN GOD
is WAITING IN HOPE
is WAITING IN THE UNSEEN
"For who HOPES for what he already sees?
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure" (Romans 24:25).
Do you have MISPLACED HOPE?
"But those who wait for the LORD [who expect, look for, and hope in Him]
Will gain new strength and renew their power;
They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to GOD] like eagles [rising toward the sun];
They will run and not become weary,
They will walk and not grow tired" (Isaiah 30:31)
