Today is the last day of January.
Are you still keeping those NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS?
What happens when February rolls in & then turns into March, April, May, June...?
RESOLUTIONS~
Promises to self to change, so you change.
It takes energy, strength, & perseverance to keep on doing
what you don't want to do,
because what you don't want to do is so much easier to do~
as it is familiar, & familiar is easy.
I love familiar, even if it isn't the best for me.
That is why I have been "FASTING" from myself~
from those parts of me that show its ugly face when I least expect it
& then I wonder where that came from.
I need JESUS. You need JESUS~
Because
JESUS who is MORE THAN A RESOLUTION!
HE takes RESOLUTIONS to a whole other level,
because HE is the ONLY ONE who makes
permanent changes in our heart that takes us beyond ourselves as we LIVE IN HIM.
Every day & Every moment
provides another opportunity
for
GOD
to
REVEAL HIMSELF
in ways that are life changing
because as long as we are on this earth
HE is the POTTER
&
we are the clay.
HE
HE smooths out our edges as we
"...are being transformed into HIS image with ever-increasing glory,
which comes from the LORD, who is the SPIRIT" (2 Corinthians 3:18)
And
this is a lifelong process because
GOD never gives up on you & I~
yet
we have to choose to stay on the
POTTER'S Wheel
&
stay connected to
THE VINE
because
"As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you,
unless you abide in ME" (John 15:4)
which produces
A Fruitful Life
filled with
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness,
Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness & Self-control (Galatians5:22-23).
FRUIT
that reveals who
GOD IS
because of all
HIS PROMISES
found in HIS ONE & ONLY SON~
for you & me & everyone else
because of
HIS LOVE
just because
GOD does not want anyone to perish,
but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
GOD never gives up
REVEALING HIMSELF .
Therefore
let's never stop living in all that
HE has & all that
HE will continue to
REVEAL to us.
