Day 3 : Wishes Granted

I wish ___________ would happen.

I wish ___________ wouldn't have happened.

I wish ___________.

So you look up into the stars and ask for your WISHES to be answered.

"Star light. Star bright.

The first star I see tonight.

I wish I may.

I wish I might.

Have the wish I wish tonight".

And then you WAIT.

And you WAIT.

And you WAIT.

You still see the twinkling star in the sky

and wonder why you are not getting your wish.

Then as you are looking at the star,

you are amazed that there is such thing as star.

And as the amazement overwhelms you,

your WISH pales

to the greatness of the

ONE

who created the star.

"I look up at YOUR macro-skies, dark and enormous,

YOUR handmade sky-jewelry,

Moon and stars mounted in their settings.

  Then I look at my micro-self and wonder,

Why do YOU bother with us?

 Why take a second look our way?"

(Psalm 8:3-4).

Oh how GREAT IS OUR GOD.

That HE cares so much about you & I,

that HE would take the time to

CREATE you & I,

as we are like ants in comparison of the twinkling star

that holds all our WISHES.

So is it the

STAR

or the

CREATOR

who holds our WISHES?

"...ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you"*

So does that mean

if I ask and if you ask

for whatever we WISH

you and I will get all that we WISH FOR?

Wow.

But wait.

It is the WHO you are asking.

HE holds our PRAYERS.

HE hears the desires of our hearts.

"Delight yourself in the LORD,

And HE will give you the desires and petitions of your heart"

(Psalm 37:4)

So does this mean that GOD will grant all your WISHES?

HMM.

FIRST THING FIRST.

"DELIGHT yourself in the LORD".

As you DELIGHT in the LORD,

HE will change your heart and desires

so that you will

DESIRE and WISH for what HE DESIRES and WISHES for you,

because HE becomes your DESIRE.

And when we have GOD,

we have all we need!

And how is that possible.

Well HIS SON tells us the same~

“If you abide in ME, and MY words abide in you,

ask whatever you WISH, and it will be done for you"

(John 15:6-7).

"IF YOU ABIDE IN ME...

Ask whatever you WISH"

ABIDING is attachment.

ABIDING is DWELLING.

ABIDING is DELIGHTING.

And you can WISH for a pony,

but you will get more than a pony.

You will

GET JESUS

and

BEAR HIS FRUIT.

For when you have

HIS LOVE

HIS PEACE

HIS PATIENE

HIS KINDNESS

HIS GOODNESS

HIS FAITHFULNESS

HIS GENTLENESS

HIS SELF CONTROL

you have

HIS JOY

that fills every WISH order you place.

I can't explain it,

as it transcends all understanding.

For I do

wish ___________ would happen.

and

I wish ___________ wouldn't have happened

and

I wish ___________...

But when I first

DELIGHT IN THE LORD

and

ABIDE IN JESUS,

I always get what I NEED,

when I am wanting something else,

because

HIS FRUIT

is more than any twinkling star can offer you.

So can we still WISH?

Of course.

To a star or the one who is

THE STAR

who overshadows every other star.

READY, GET SET. GO.

DELIGHT.

ABIDE.
