I think GOD has
FOMO~
The FEAR OF MISSING OUT!
Yet the FEAR is for every one of HIS creations
of MISSING OUT
of that which is so eternal
that it is forever
and beyond that.
Because
"The LORD is not slow in keeping HIS promise, as some understand slowness.
Instead HE is patient with you,
not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
So what if we all had
FOMO of
PERISHING~
"to be or become without spiritual life under the condemnation of GOD" (Lexicon)
To PERISH~
to die
to lose
to destroy fully.
Yikes.
Not a beautiful peaceful thought,
but then again maybe it is
because
GOD is LOVE~
"There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment,
so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of GOD'S love]" (I John 4:18 AMP)
GOD'S LOVE is PERFECT
because
HE doesn't want anyone to
MISS OUT~
“For GOD so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that HE [even] gave HIS [ONE and] only begotten SON, so that whoever believes and trusts in HIM [as SAVIOR] shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16)
Oh this is more than Christianity 101,
because it is about my REAL LIFE & your REAL LIFE
&
everyone else's REAL LIFE,
because LIFE without JESUS is LIFE without.
But oh how we can so forget
and make it about so much more
when our eyes so focused
on what we don't have
because we are too focused on what others have
so that we have
FOMO
because we feel we are missing something better
than WHO we have right now.
So what if we all embraced the
FOMO of GOD~
"This is good, and pleases GOD our SAVIOR, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
For there is one GOD and one mediator between GOD and mankind, the man CHRIST JESUS , who gave HIMSELF as a ransom for all people" (I Timothy 2:3-6)
And if we did have a
FEAR OF MISSING OUT
on experiencing JESUS.
we would make it only about JESUS
because JESUS made it all about us
because HE was thinking of you & me & everyone else on the cross
as HE was perishing so we never have to.
Oh let's take our eyes of of self
because IT'S NOT ABOUT ME when we make it about
