Day 3: Goodbye Yesterday

TODAY is TODAY, 

YESTERDAY was YESTERDAY.

TOMORROW is TOMORROW.

So what DAY are you LIVING IN?

Does YESTERDAY bleed into your TODAY, 

with the

could haves,

should haves,

and

would haves?

And if they do,

then TODAY would be all about

YESTERDAY!

Digest that.

What is stealing the JOY of TODAY, 

because you invited YESTERDAY and TOMORROW?

Is it a BITTERNESS that is eating away at your heart?

Is it a WAIT that you have been WAITING to happen,

yet LIFE appears as if it is standing still?

Is it the YOU of the PAST

that keeps doing or being or feeling the SAME,

so that you are just living at status quo,

while you watch others living with a JOY that you crave?

YESTERDAY begins now,

as this second just became your PAST. 

TICK. TICK. TICK.

What if

JOY became your

TICK, TICK, TICK,

in every second

because you choose to

kiss YESTERDAY GOOD BYE

by

INVITING OUR FATHER

into every second.

When BITTERNESS starts knocking on the door of your HEART, 

call on

OUR FATHER.

When

ANXIETY begins to beat on your MIND

call on

OUR FATHER.

When

WAITING on that answer to prayer

that you have been WAITING for

is all you can think about,

call on OUR FATHER.

OUR FATHER, 

the name JESUS said to say,

when we pray.

So when JESUS said

"OUR FATHER",

HE claimed

HE IS THE SON OF GOD,

and HE includes

 ALL to call on

GOD

as OUR FATHER.

To call on

OUR FATHER

is to INVITE OUR FATHER

into our

HEART and MIND,

especially

when other things are striving to steal

THE JOY of TODAY!

I have been putting this into practice,

and it is beyond awesome.

When the remnants of the PAST or the fears of the FUTURE,

or the struggle of the PRESENT begin to knock on your heart,

INVITE

OUR FATHER into your moment.

A HARD STOP

from going down the tube

that robs you of the JOY of the moment,

even if the moment doesn't appear very JOYFUL.

For when OUR FATHER

receives the INVITATION,

HE makes a stormy day appear to be the brightest day of your life.

To experience HIS JOY when DESPAIR has entered into your HEART,

you experience the

JOY OF THE LORD

that transcends all understanding.

I can't explain it,

as THE JOY OF THE LORD

HAPPENS in you,

and you are the only one who holds the key to open the door to

HIS JOY in ever SECOND. 

So will you join me

and take this SECOND

and INVITE OUR FATHER

into this very SECOND

by shouting out HIS NAME.

And when you do,

HIS JOY will OVERWHELM you

so much so

that you will have the

best

TODAY

that you ever had,

just because

"TODAY IS THE DAY YOU HAVE MADE"
