DOUBLE DIPPING~
Keep going back to
the SAME thing
to try to change
the SAME thing,
yet the SAME thing
always stays the
SAME THING
because
the SAME THING
is you.
Now that was a mouthful
Think about it.
You want different.
You want others to change.
You want your circumstances to change.
You even want the weather to change.
And you try and strive. .
Not to presume that you do,
but I know that is what I have done
and then at times I will start doing it again
even though I know I will always end up at the
SAME PLACE
because
DOUBLE DIPPING always
brings you back to
the
SAME PLACE
when you do it your way~
Frustrated.
Impatient.
Bitter.
Anxious.
Fearful.
Hopeless.
Hmm,
something has to change
&
the something is the someone who is
looking back at you in the mirror
who has no power to change
another
person, place or thing
or even yourself~
in the
SAME
way.
So you look up
&
there
HE is,
looking right at you,
holding out
HIS arms
to little ole you
and saying~
"Let me do it".
But you wonder,
"Can I TRUST HIM?".
Will HE REALLY do what HE says HE will do?
But
HE repeats HIMSELF
and you hear the words that aren't your words~
"Humble yourselves before the LORD, and HE will lift you up" (James 4:10)
And then you hear the words again~
"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of
GOD [set aside self-righteous pride],
so that HE may exalt you [to a place of honor in HIS service] at the appropriate time,
casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries,
and all your concerns, once and for all] on HIM, for
HE cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]"
(I Peter 5:6-7)
And then you think
that
the SAME THING
that you have been doing
isn’t working
because
the SAME THING
is you
so maybe just maybe
you need SOMEONE else to
do it for you.
So you
fall on your knees
&
there
HE IS
lifting you up and over
all that you are striving to change.
PEACE fills your soul
like never before
because
you can TRUST HIM
because
you can BELIEVE HIM.
Now humble you
gets up & puts one foot in front of the other
because
you are no longer
THE SAME
because
you are no longer
DOUBLE DIPPING~
Keep going back to
the SAME thing
to try to change
the SAME thing
in the
SAME way that you have always done it
because
you heard it from the mouth
of the
One
who is doing for you what you could never do for yourself~
“Behold, I am making all things new” (Revelation 21:5)
So today is the day that you start
FASTING from the SAME THING
What is the SAME THING that you
keep doing
or believing
that is
keeping you in the SAME place?
So today let's FAST from the
SAME THING.
Every time you are about to
do the SAME THING
that does not work
that has never worked
to change what you what change,
instead
HUMBLE YOURSELVES
by
casting all your cares
[all your anxieties, all your worries,
and all your concerns, once and for all]
on HIM,
for HE cares about you
[with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]" (I Peter 5:6-7).
And then my friend
you will finally
break free from being stuck in the
SAME THING
because there
is always
"VICTORY IN JESUS"
