Day 3: Be Still And Know

GOD said GO.
But we are to STAY.
As we said good-bye to South Africa,
yesterday,
we sat in our seats on the airplane,
for 20 minutes,
then 30 minutes,
then 2 hours later,
we knew what we were going to hear,
FLIGHT CANCELLED.
Nothing could be said,
for who wants to fly over an ocean for 14 hours
with a maintenance problem.
NOW WHAT?
GOD'S NEW PLAN.
HIS PLAN which is IMMEASURABLY MORE
then my PLAN.
So you find a NEW flight.
So TODAY we do it again.
I am at PEACE.
It brings tears to my eyes,
because the Joni Jones
of yesteryears would not be at PEACE.
Oh my feathers would have been ruffled,
and I would have been flapping my tongue.
And where would I be?
In a nest filled with ANXIETY, and ANGER, and FRUSTRATION.
Ugh.
Yup, that was me, and I am not going back.
To BE STILL and KNOW GOD IS GOD,
is to STOP where you are,
and KNOW that GOD is right there with you.
It sounds so CHRISTIAN~ESE,
but it is SIMPLE TRUTH.
TO BE STILL AND KNOW~
the SWEET SPOT of SURRENDER to
GOD'S WILL
and that is where we are to STAY,
even when we are ASKED to COME
or to GO.
"For the LORD GOD is with you wherever you GO"
(Joshua 1:9).
So when my hubby and I go to the airport again later today,
we will have a CHOICE.
TO GO STILL
or
TO GO ANXIOUS.
A CHOICE TO CHOOSE.
So maybe we are really
STAYING,
as you never leave,
for TO BE STILL
is ALWAYS being with GOD
wherever you GO,
so you are ALWAYS where you are supposed to be.
"BE STILL AND KNOW"
