Day 29: LivE Clean

JESUS started walking down the mountain.

HE just finished HIS SERMON ON THE MOUNT.

And there he was.

A LEPER.

Branded UNCLEAN.

It was if he was wearing a

DO NOT TOUCH

sign.

Their eyes met.

The LEPER asked a question,

"LORD, if YOU are willing, YOU can make me clean”. *

Can you imagine those who witnessed this,

for you don't come near to a LEPER.

But what do you do when a LEPER comes near to JESUS.

Do you judge him and think "how dare he"?

And then you witness it.

You witness THE LOVE OF JESUS.

For no one is too UNCLEAN for a TOUCH from JESUS.

"JESUS reached out with HIS hand and touched him, saying,

'I am willing; be cleansed'.”*

There is JESUS.

Touching a LEPER.

But not an ordinary LEPER. 

For this LEPER was courageous,

For this LEPER wanted to be CLEANSED.

For this LEPER knew JESUS was the one who could CLEANSE him.

And what did the LEPER receive?

Exactly what HE asked JESUS.

 "And immediately his leprosy was cleansed"

*(Matthew 8:2-3).

IMMEDIATELY.

Without HESITATION.

Can JESUS HEAL.

Oh yes.

Did JESUS HEAL.

Oh yes.

So what was this HEALING really about?

For why are some people HEALED of their ailments,

and some aren't.

Or is everyone 

HEALED IN JESUS.

HEALED.

To be CLEANSED.

Or is this about something bigger than the actual

CLEANSING.

Could it be that the

 LEPER had FAITH.

Could it be that the LEPER had HUMILITY.

Could it be that JESUS

had

COMPASSION.

Could it be that

JESUS IS LOVE. 

Could it be that

JESUS CLEANSES the UNCLEAN.

Who is the UNCLEAN?

Everyone who carries the DNA of Adam and Eve.

And who is everyone?

EVERYONE.

I was a LEPER, even though I didn't know I was one.

I didn't know that I was limping through life,

just trying to BE GOOD.

Trying turned to STRIVING.

Because how GOOD is GOOD,

when others see you as

UNCLEAN,

because all they see what is wrong with you,

and point it out to you.

The wrong,

 the "speck".

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye."

Ouch.

For was I really that GOOD,

 if I saw what I labeled as wrong in others,

while I had a plank in my own eye.

An eye opening experience.

No one can be GOOD ENOUGH to enter the KINGDOM OF GOD.

UNCLEAN me.

Just a LEPER, who asked JESUS, 

 "LORD, if YOU are willing, YOU can make me clean”.

And guess what?

JESUS said YES.

For JESUS does not turn anyone away.

For I ASKED,

and IMMEDIATELY

I was CLEANSED.

BORN AGAIN~

"Therefore if anyone is in CHRIST [that is, grafted in, joined to HIM by FAITH IN HIMHim as SAVIOR], he is a new creature

 [reborn and renewed by the HOLY SPIRIT];

 the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away.

 Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]" 

(2 Corinthians 5:17)

So I ask you,

Do you want to be

"CLEAN"
