The DOOR OPENS.
You walk through.
You get BLESSED
beyond your wildest dreams
because you know that
GOD is the ONE who
OPENED THE DOOR.
And yes we know that
JESUS is THE DOOR
and
yes
HE KNOCKS
and
yes it is our choice
to open
THE DOOR.
But this DOOR I am talking about is
another
GOD APPOINTMENT~
something that you had no control in making happen
as it is so far from your radar screen
that you KNOW that it has to be GOD.
I RECEIVED a WELCOMED UNEXPECTED INVITATION.
UNEXPECTED as it was from a new friend,
a new sister IN CHIRST,
who I had met last year
who was a GOD APPOINTMENT then,
and who I haven't seen since that day.
For when we met
we connected instantly,
as our LOVE OF JESUS
came pouring out.
At that time, I never knew when we would cross paths again. BUT GOD OPENS A DOOR
in HIS PERFECT TIMING.
AN OPEN DOOR~
an OPPORTUNITY to follow GOD
to where HE leads
to experience all that HE PLANNED for you
without your
KNOWING
but
ALL HIS KNOWING
because it is
HIS PLAN.
I accepted this INVITATION
with GREAT ANTICIPATION & EXPECTATION
because I KNEW this was from GOD.
The moment I walked through
THE OPEN DOOR
to a coffee shop
and saw her face
it was like we had just seen each other,
as we experienced our
GOD
at HIS best doing what
HE does best~
BEING GOD!
GOD is ALWAYS setting up APPOINTMENTS,
but oh how we get in the way when we don't
quiet our lives for a moment
to quiet our souls for a moment
to BE STILL for a moment
to actually
EXPERIENCE GOD
who always has PLANS for us,
that are way better than the plans
that we make
that we try to hold onto so tightly
in order to control
what we try to hold onto.
"For MY thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways MY ways," declares the LORD" (Isaiah 55:8)
Oh if we would only just
BE STILL long enough
to allow GOD to guide our
thoughts
and our ways
so will always be
walking in HIS WILL.
For GOD is so GRACIOUS
because
HE IS
"able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,
according to HIS power that is at work within us" (Ephesians 3:20)
because
HE IS
a GOOD GOD
who LOVES so big
that wherever you are
that whatever you are doing
no matter how small your moment appears to be
it is always big,
because
GOD IS IN IT.
So it may just seem like I met
someone
in a little coffee shop
to just talk for hours,
but it was so much more,
actually IMMEASURABLY MORE
because it was set up by
GOD
for the two of us not only to connect so deeply,
but to remind us of HIS power
and that
HE is always working behind the scenes
and in the scenes
to make us
BE STILL enough
to KNOW that GOD never stops being GOD.
For HE is forever FAITHFUL,
being so detail orientated in your life,
from your very beginning when HE knit you purposefully in your mother's womb,
and to continue to knit precious moments
into the
every day little things
that we tend to take advantage of
by not taking the time
to walk through
GOD'S OPEN DOORS
that may be dressed as
meeting for a simple cup of coffee.
Because when
JESUS is in the house
coffee is just coffee.
So let's FAST today from going too FAST.
Can you choose to BE STILL enough
when you are getting ready
to start running
FAST
to the next thing
and the next thing,
whether it is getting your mind to run so FAST into the tomorrows
or you multitasking madness,
so that you don't miss ALL that GOD is doing in your life.
Can you STOP and LISTEN to HIS small whisper as
HE directs your PATH in this moment
as you TRUST HIM with ALL your HEART
as you do not LEAN on your UNDERSTANDING
and as you ACKNOWLEDGE HIM in ALL your ways
so that you will not only just
SEE THE OPEN DOOR
that HE has OPENED
for you,
but you will actually
walk through it
because
you don't want to miss
GOD'S OPEN DOOR
for that is where you will experience
HIS
"IMMEASURABLY MORE"
